Great for lunch and breakfast!. Los Gueros is a hidden gem in Tyler. Unlike many of the local taquerias, Los Gueros is unique because of it’s outside patio, free beans and fantastic prices. It is also a very gluten-free friendly place. You can get almost anything they make on a corn tortilla instead of flour. They have a great selection of quesadillas for lunch and breakfast tacos in the morning. Also, their mild red sauce is amazing!!
Just ok. I like the vibe of the place, with vibrant colors and a nice patio out front, and friendly counter service; but the food itself seemed mediocre to me. It’s easy to spend ~$10 for a proper meal, and though it’s not at all bad, I’ve eaten much better Mexican food (authentic and taquera, and otherwise), even in Tyler. I think I do like it better than what I’ve had at, for example, El Lugar, though I still haven’t been to the nice El Lugar on North Beckham (?). I had the deluxe quesadilla and a couple tacos. I would probably eat there again, but only if it just wasn’t convenient to go elsewhere. Based on recent experience, Lindo Mexicano is absolutely better in almost every way, though it’s a longer drive for me, unfortunately.
