Pleasantly surprised!. My husband and I have been twice and have been pleased with our food, the service, and the prices. We’ve had several of the rolls, pot stickers, and several different entrees. Always solid.

Sinking Ship. Wasabe used to be a really nice place to eat. Not anymore. Service is terrible from the hostess to the manager. Hint: You can’t comp an appetizer to make up for a terrible experience. The food comes out cold, tasteless, and expensive. ABANDON SHIP!!!

I’m Done!. Food: good lord the food is/was awesome at a decent price but I just can’t stand this place any more after our last bad experience.Service has ALWAYS been a hit and miss but I’ve never needed any overly attentive server & I’m an eat and get out kind of person. So slow service has never made me not want to go back until this past Sunday. We arrived at 215 and stood at the front for five minutes before someone came around to seat us. As we walked through I saw approximately four tables of patrons in the place. After we were seated our hostess took our drink order instead of a waitress but that was okay. About thirty seconds later our waitress came around started to ask what we wanted to drink and looked confused that we already had drinks. She then took our appetizer order of pot stickers and left. About five minutes later another lady not our waitress asked for our order and we ordered two California rolls Texas ranger roll the scorpion roll and a Mrs. pacman roll. Ten minutes later the same lady brings out the pot stickers. Which were excellent. For about forty five minutes after that two separate people came around filling our drinks and none of them the same girl introduced as our waitress. When she finally came back I asked her if there was a problem with our food order and she said no that there was a large table they were trying to get it done and ours would be done soon. The large table had six people and only one other couple had came in after us. Five minutes later they brought out two California rolls and said they were working on the others. That was not my intended meal but my partner graciously allowed me to have a piece so I didn’t have to stare at him eat while I waited. As soon as I popped it into my mouth my eyes began to water and this god awful bitterness made my mouth water and I had to spit it into my napkin my partner did the same and we both began inspecting the roll to figure out what was wrong he tried another piece and said it was the same. Now we have both had this roll in this place numerous times & have never had that happen. The waitress came back by & we explained what the problem was, she immediately apologized and said she would have it re made as she dropped off the scorpion roll. Timidly I tried a piece of it and here we went again…. I wanted to lick the slate floor to get the taste out of my mouth! She came back with the Texas Ranger and we explained the problem again & told her we thought it was the cucumber. The Texas Ranger was perfect again not my food but I had quite lost my appetite. The girl comes back and says yes they think it was the cucumber and so sorry I will get the manager to comp some food off your bill… Great… Screw ups can happen… They bring our re made rolls out and there was no cucumber in them…. I love cucumber….are all of your cucumbers rotten or do you not peel them now? I’m trying very hard not to get kicked out of this place or yell at the poor girl who is apologizing profusely the entire time… We quickly eat the rolls sans cucumber and get our bill ….wow low and behold they comped us the cheapest roll (California) even though one of the screw ups was the most expensive…. Needless to say Wasabi your service has gone from bad to worse and your food has now gone to crap… I’m going to go try out Yamato & I will not be back.

Lakechef. We use to look foward to our friday evenings at Wasabi. Service has continued to decline – we went last week and stood looking for someone at the front desk – 5 mins…not a sign of anyone. We turned and walked out. Shame that the service has driven customers away. Too many other good choices to accept the service level at this establishment.

Once upon a time. When Wasabi’s opened, it was a quiet place to enjoy Asian food and really good sushi. We visited several times since and the service, food and environment has constantly decreased. I am guessing that they could not keep the kitchen or wait staff happy leading to the decline.Unfortunate, we really had high hopes for a good restaurant in Tyler…

Truly the Best. If you are looking for fresh, excellent, high quality sushi, this is the place. Their rolls are always fresh and the flavors are outstanding. Their traditioal asian and asian fusion dishes are excellent as well. They have the absolute best ceviche in Tyler. We love Wasabi so much we recently went on a six week bender eating in or ordering take out at least once during that period. It never gets old and never disappoints.
