DO NOT EAT HERE!!! This business repeatedly tried to force a disabled woman and her husband to move to the patio in 103 Texas summer heat because she had a service dog, which is illegal! She politely informed the manager several times of the Texas laws all why the owner watched from across the room. At any point, they could have Googled the law she told them about. Texas law states this is a crime and is punishable by a $300 fine and 30 hours of community service. Boycott until the owner AND the manager have been charged and repay our community for their disgrace of our disabled!!! My 1 star is for the fact that the manager was explained the law several times and made several visits to the table and despite her requesting to speak to the owner who was watching from across the room, the owner failed to walk over and speak to her, showing her more disrespect. This entire situation is sad. If and when Wasabi’s owner and manager step up and issue a public and private apology to Sarah, compensate her humiliation with a sizable amount of sushi, and welcome her with open arms and they each donate 60 hours of community service at Meals on Wheel in Tyler, then, and only then, I will change my rating to a 5! on every site I posted a 1 on like Facebook, Google, here, and every other one I can find! The owner didn’t care enough about her to walk over to the table so let’s see if the owner cares for the employees that work so hard for a couple dollars an hour. The longer you drag this out, the more harm it causes employees. Sarah LOVES y’all! Which is one reason it is hard for her to speak out. She doesn’t want this to hurt a single one of you. Do right by her! Do right by Tyler! STEP UP WASABI!

We go to Wasabi fairly regularly. The food is delicious. Our favorite rolls include the Ms. Pacman and Tyler, Texas rolls. The service is typically very slow – and I’m not meaning the time it takes to prepare the rolls – I mean to fill a glass or bring out a side of won-ton. But the food wins out and we go with the understanding that we must be patient and be willing to bite our tongues. If service was better, I’d give a 4.5.
