Sno 2 Go. Smooth and cold versus crunchy and cold. That’s the difference between shaved ice and Italian ice. While I much prefer the latter, the former has a lot going for it. It seems shaved ice, like the snow here at Bahama Buck’s is so smooth that the flavor covers each granule of ice. The Italian ice does as well but there is more texture to the ice and for me, at least, gives me more satisfaction when I bite into it.The drive through line backed up 6-7 cars, so I just walked in and ordered at the counter. I was first in line. I ordered a large passion fruit sno and grabbed a table while I waited for them to prepare it. It only took about five minutes and was intensely good. All of the workers seemed to be college age. You could tell they were having a good time, but they were also scrubbing down the tables and doing the chores necessary to keep the place spotless. They all make a good team.The interior is very bright with tropical colors, surfboard images, and a Southern Cal feeling. A couple of the workers had bleached their hair blond to add to the sensation. It all adds up to lots of fun. There are flavors galore here (one reason I came). They also have frozen lattes, island smoothies, natural lemonades and limeades. They even sell snowballs in a 24-pack to use for snowball fights for parties or for fun at work, if you don’t get fired. There are more Bahama Buck’s coming soon to the DFW area. I can’t wait!
