Tofu Triumph. I tried their recently added vegetarian item, the sofritas burrito today. With black beans, brown rice, lettuce, sour cream and a mild green tomatillo sauce, it was a good, filling meal. In addition they had a deal where my next entree will be free. Can’t beat that! This was one the wettest burritos I’ve had here. The organic tofu was meaty and blended well with the other ingredients. Some of the sauce and rice dripped through the bottom of the aluminum wrapping and pooled in the basket that was holding it all. I needed three of their thick napkins to clean up my hands. If it weren’t for the tortilla, this would have been a fairly decent medium caloric meal. With the tortilla being 300 calories alone, the entree was almost 900 calories total. A burrito bowl might have been a better option. The Chipotle interior is the same ol’, same ol’. Wood and metal tables and corrugated metal along the walls. The same Chipotle pictures on the same Chipotle walls. It hasn’t changed in years, and is beginning to look somewhat dated. Service, which normally runs like clockwork, was a bit fumbling today. Perhaps it was a new team working together today. They got the job done though. I was able to get my order quickly, but others behind me seemed to have some problems, with some of them still in line after I had finished my meal and left.

Lost it’s Luster. I know Chipotle still has a big cult following, but I think they’ve lost their edge. Went back for first time in a long time and it’ll probably be a long time before I go again. The menu is very limited, the dining area is stark and uncomfortable and it seems like the portions have gotten smaller. Add to that, all the competition in the area for fresh, fast Mexican food and Chipotle drops well down the list. diningoutdfw.com
I really enjoy eating the shredded pork burritos at a great price and I really like the quality of their fresh ingreadiance and big portions so I’m filled up.
Son’s favorite. The kids LOVE this place! I appreciate the philosophy behind their business as much as I love their rice (and I don’t really like rice). Watch for their food drive when you can eat free for a can of food!
Love Chipotle. The food is predictably always good here. I really admire that they are moving towards more humane and healthy sources for their meats. This is one of the few places in town to eat with simple, healthy ingredients. They are always friendly at this location. I am allergic to jalepeno, so all of their meats are too spicey for me. I get the vegetarian option, and they usually are happy to prepare some guacamole for me without jalepeno. I think that’s very good service.
Good food. This place is good, I think they rush people through line too fast, but I like the food and the portions. Beverages are over-priced.
