HORRIBLE bartender…. I had a VERY bad experience at this restaurant. It just goes to show you that ONE bad employee can cause a lot of damage. My husband and I came to this restaurant on a Saturday and they were busy but not packed. We were told we would have to wait a bit, which was fine. We decided to sit at the bar and order a drink while we waited. My husband very nicely told the bartender (I never got her name but she has frizzy, curly hair that she wore in a low ponytail, very plain girl who looks possibly Italian or Hispanic. and said she is 33 but looks 40-45), who was standing 1 foot away that we were ready to order when she had a minute. She ignored him completely. About a minute later, she walked right by us and I caught her attention to reiterate in a kind way that we were ready to order whenever she gets a minute. She very rudely and snottily replied, ‘Uh, YEAH, I know. When I get a minute’. That is no way to talk to someone who is paying YOUR salary. It was by no means crazy busy at that time and the bar is very small. Nothing a good bartender couldn’t handle. We FINALLY were able to put our drink order in but by the time she had finished making it our table was ready. I told my husband to go ahead and I’d wait on the drink. When it was ready, I brought it to the table and started enjoying a conversation with my husband. All of a sudden, I see frizzy walking over to our table. She rudely says ‘Um yeah, I just want to tell you that I saw you take that drink and you didn’t order it so I want to make sure that it isn’t for you.’ I was COMPLETELY taken aback. My husband was the one who ordered the drink and produced his I.D. What did this lady care if I brought it back to the table? What did she care if I had a sip (which at that time I had NOT)? I have done this hundreds of times when my husband orders a drink and NEVER have I been hounded like this by anyone who was providing a service for me, nevertheless a bartender! My husband was shocked, I was shocked, even our waiter sympathized with us and apologized for her behavior when we told him about it. As the owner of his own line of stores, my husband agreed that if he were the owner he’d fire her on the spot. You just don’t treat paying customers like that. The spectacle she made was embarrassing not only for her but for the restaurant, as well.We won’t be back anytime soon, especially if frizzy is still there.

Bad experience yet again. Have been going there for 4 years, overall very fresh ingredients and good sushi, compared to similar restaurants in this area. This past year has been different – I can definitely tell that they are more lax with food preparation and quality control. Past 5 times I was there for lunch, the fish was definitely not fresh, the rice was definitely kept in the fridge from leftovers of the previous day. Today was no different – I had a piece of kampachi sushi, a piece of peppered tuna and a piece of shrimp sushi. Terrible. At 3-4 dollars a piece, I would at least respect my customers enough to not serve uncooked fish unless it is absolutely fresh. I also had avocado roll, which was good as always and angel roll, which, alas, was terrible. The raw fish had sour taste to it, which it should not. Very disappointed, considering that we walked away with an 80 dollar bill for the two of us. The tuna dumpling appetizer (the reason I go there in the first place) is only 70% of the size that it used to be. Very uncool of you guys – I expected more.

Overall the restaurant was good. It has a very nice atmosphere and great service. The sushi was good but it is a little pricy. The entrees are so so. We ordered the flounder and the sauce was too sweet. The fried rice is sub par.
