I have so many questions.- why is Mom alone? – what happened to dad? – doesnt she have kids to keep her company? – why hasnt she met anyone by now? Aside from my curiosity, I had a solid meal at Mom Alone. Chicken enchiladas with a fajita taco on the side. The meal came with chips and salsa of course, but also a small bowl of queso. My enchiladas were excellent. Good amount of chicken with great flavor. Plenty of cheese and gravy. The rice and beans were on point. Not terribly impressed with the fajita taco. While the steak was well cooked and tender, there wasnt much flavor. Needs some marinade. But the tortilla was homemade, so extra points there. Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Mom Alone for a reason! Gross!. After reading the reviews for this place I decided to give it a shot for my mothers birthday. I was totally disappointed. The beef enchiladas were the worst I have ever had in my life. They had a horrible after taste and the meat seemed to be bad. I told the waiter and he told me that I needed to speak with the manager. She was rude to me and argued with me about it. I have eaten Mexican food all over and worked at 3 different Mexican restaurants in my life and never experienced anything that tastes so bad. Stay away from this over priced establishment. I should have known it was bad by the condition of the restrooms. How can people give this place good reviews? Without a doubt the worst food in Clear Lake or anywhere for that matter. Casa Ole is even better than this stuff.. Yuck!!
My 1st time at Mom Alone was on my first date with my boyfriend (now my husband) and that was 6yrs ago.We love the food,service and the owners are very nice..weve been going since then theyve seen our son grow since I was pregnant….great job Mom Alone 🙂
Don’t leave Mom Alone at home. Former manager for Mammacito’s is Cesar. Nice man with an eye for what people want in a restaurant….nice ambience, good food, especially the fajitas, and food coming out of the kitchen HOT. Salsa, chips and free bowl of queso. Tuxcedo’d waiters, but does not make theprices high. Nice lighting.
Great food! Very authentic. My only complaint is that you have to be very careful when ordering because the staff is mostly Spanish speaking. I ordered my tacos with no tomatos…they came out with the tomatos on them. When I asked for new ones with no tomatos…the guy brought me a plate of extra tomatos. I gave up…picked them off…and had a good laugh. They also give a free bowl of queso per table!
