Great casual place to relax and enjoy your company. They make their own beer which is actually pretty good. The pizzas are pretty good and San Franciscan pizza is our favorite. Not a fan of the shrimp on the pizzas but others like that flavor. Service is great and you never feel rushed to leave when finished with dinner.
Slow-smoked, Mediterranean-inspired food. I can describe the Blie Onion with one word – superb. We shared two entrees: fajita wrap and Blue Onion pizza.The fajita wrap is steak on a flat bread, and came with macaroni salad and dilled cucumbers – excellent! The steak was savory and tender. The Blue Onion pizza is loaded with smoked onions and garlic, and mozzarella – again, excellent! The food is a delicious and unique blend of flavors.Others opine that the service is slow… We did NOT experience poor service. Our waitress was prompt, both in greating us, and bringing our drinks and, later, our food order. I plan to try slow roasting onions and garlic when I return home! I’m inspired. The setting is interesting, with colorful walls adorned with interesting and eclectic art. We plan to eat at the Blue Onion, again, this evening.
