Great place. Have been going there for over a year. Good food, exceptionally friendly staff. Highly recommend.
The only thing I ate there that was delicious was the cake. And it was awesome! The enchiladas were cold and the fajitas were very tough. This was my first time there and I had a coupon for a buy one get on free plate. When I proceeded to pay the manager rang me up, she charged me an extra .25 cents per item. (It only ended up being about $1.00 more but that’s not the point). I pointed this out to her and she said that everything in the menu has been raised .25 cents and they are waiting for the new menus to come in. It was written no where on the menu or in the store that prices have gone up! I left with a Small menu with the prices and called her to let her know that I don’t appreciate being lied to. She then said the prices were entered wrong in the registe by the ownersr. Another lie. Take a look at the register if u go. It’s the kind where u type in a price, not a code. And i witnessed her type in te prices, not a code! I’m not dumb. So no I’m not mad about the small $1 they took to make up for their loss of my free plate I got with my coupon. I just refuse to give my business to anyone who runs a dishonest business. She did offer me a free meal but lied to me several times to cover herself. I refuse to ever go back. The reason I was tree was because I’m looking for a place to cater my wedding. I’m glad it happened then with only a dollar because who knows what they would have done when it came to our money for 150 guests.
Feels like home. great food. Can’t let a week go by without eating at Chaparrita’s! Lot’s of weeks we eat there (or do take-oout) 3 or 4 times. Breakfast tacos are a must as are the puffy tacos (they just melt in your mouth). Chaparrita’s Bowl soup is one of my husband’s favorite lunches and chili rellano is his dinner favorite.
My favorite Mexican restaurant! Don’t be misled by the two bad reviews below! There is another restaurant a couple blocks away with a similar name. Patricia’s choriquiles definitely have eggs and the tortillas are definitely home-made! I posted pics of the daytime and dinner menus (dinner menu is green) so you’ll know you’re in the right place!

Hi my name is Lynn Mahoney,My family and I have been going to Chaparrita’s Restaurant for a very long time including when she WAS next to Dr Covert’s office.This is no longer her location, the name is the same but please do not confuse the two they are totally totally different.Chaparritas Restaurant is next to Billy Bob’s Beds on Tezel this is the original and only Chaparritas Restaurant, not Cafe!!Patricia is a love, and so is the whole family, a very friendly and family place to meet and eat or just sit and talk.I have never ate anything I did not like at her familys restaurant, the food is so darn good and full of flavor, my weight can vouch for that lol.The Catering service is to die for, so if you need someone to cater any event give her a call.Also on a different note, I don’t know who the person is that ate all the different foods, and who kept going back to eat more and more and more and comments on how bad the food was, once I eat at a place and the first meal is bad you can bet thats my first and last meal there, but to continue going back tells me there is something on the menu you like! And I can guarantee you this was not Chaparrita’s Restaurant next to Billy Bobs Beds.Also the person who stated Patricia’s restaurant only serves certain people has never been in Chaparritas Restaurant, not one person who has walked thru her door has ever been treated any other way except with respect and hospitality.Also for the person hanging on to the Cafe under the name of Chaparritas knows darn well this name is very well known, so pick a name for your Cafe thats suits you and not ride on the success of someone elses business. Chaparritas means Good Food Friendly Service and all around down to earth good people to know This IS the original Chaparritas by Billy Bobs Beds on Tezel and Silent Oaks.Gotta go now headed to Chaparritas to go eat bye now.
