The waitstaff was very attentive and the manager was walking around making sure every one was happy with their meal. The prices are very affordable and we all left with a doggie bag. Great stop!!
Was thrilled to see that they finally opened up a Cheddar’s in SA after having frequented one in Houston before moving here. Love the ambiance of the place, very cozy and intimate. The food, however, was lacking. I ordered my usual, the jambalaya pasta and it just seemed to be missing something. The service was slow and indifferent. The skillet cookie was delicious as ever, but it was overall is disappointing experience. Not worth the wait to get in and they don’t take reservations. jetsetbeaudets.blogspot.com
I have always said you get what you pay for at restaurants. Cheddars often is an exception to that adage. The prices throughout the food and drink menus are kept low but deliver in flavor and quantity. My steak and shrimp plate with 2 sides was only $14 and definitely worth the price. Their plentiful chicken tender plate is only $10 and gives you enough for two meals. Frozen top shelf margarita was $7.50 and huge! It was not overly sweet and went down smooth. The service is normally attentive and friendly despite the constant hustle and bustle. I am a fan of Cheddar’s and will return often.
