WOOTZ IS NOT CLOSED. Wootz Philippine Restaurant is still open. I just bought fried fish there (06 Dec 2014). Food is just as good as always. They did have phone troubles and have two new phone numbers; 210-681-6536 and 210 681-6535.
Food is wonderful most authentic Filipino food in San Antonio. Clean restaurant, good service. Buffet on the weekends are just as great too. Highly recommend eating here!
I’ve been here a few times, but I don’t think I will be back. I ordered Pancit Sotanghon guisado and got only 5 small pieces of chicken in it… all cabbage, onion, bell pepper and noodles. Hardly any protein. The iced tea tastes like straight up sugar water. They use long grain rice, which Im just not used to with Filipino food. The waitresses are so inattentive… no refills, how are you doing? no real service. waitresses seem more concerned with socializing, watching TV and eating. This is not the Filipino hospitality I’m used to. :-/

Family oriented friendly. The soup was excellent and the pancit and rice were also great next time i’ll bring my family bravo zulo.
