  This used to be a decent place for fish. Times have changed. Slow service, terrible food.

  This place needs help. Was fairly excited to enjoy some good food from the Catfish Grill. Could not have been more of a let down. Our family placed a take out order Twenty-Five minutes in advance of arrival. Upon arrival, we still ended up waiting 10 minutes on order to be completed. That was not a major let down but the rub is that there was only Two other tables with Five total customers in the whole place. Still fairly excited about our purchase, we loaded into our vehicle and headed down the road. Boxes were opened to find doughy hush-puppies which i took back into establishment so they could flash fry them a bit more. Gizzards and livers were bland at best with breading that was falling off of them (a little seasoning and a bit longer in fryer maybe?, the worst i have ever TRIED to eat). The fries were soggy, limp and greasy. On the bright side, the Texas toast and gravy were not bad. Over-all, it was depressing to think that the best part of the meal was the hush-puppies that had been recooked. We felt badly for our waitress (very friendly and accommodating, she did receive a tip for her effort) who was doing her best to cover for the kitchens lack of detail (to say the least). As we waited on our food, we did notice another waitress (i guess) standing behind the bar……..the whole time……no exaggeration……..just helplessly standing there in a daze……doing absolutely nothing. Now……i am sure that there is more than one set of kitchen staff for this place and hopefully they enjoy their job and that will reflect in a quality product for its clientele. We have had a lot of good to excellent culinary experiences in Wichita Falls. That being said, it is not likely that my family will be hungry for the catfish grill again anytime soon.

  Won’t go back. It was uncomfortably warm inside and we were kept waiting 1 1/2 hours for our food despite the place being only half full. The table next to us had to wait even longer and their order had to be sent back twice. The service was awful – we even had to approach the kitchen to ask for tea refills. Several items were cold when they arrived and the bread on one sandwich was so hard our son could not eat it without hurting the roof of his mouth. It was very overpriced for what we received and we have no plans to return.
