Humongous Juicy Burgers!. Drippin’ down your arms, these are among the very best burgers you will ever eat. Hand made, good size, cooked to perfection. They are full of fat and flavor, cooked old school and dressed for the picnic. You will not find any better. The place to go whenever your zippin’ through the Falls. Fries ain’t bad either. One Caveat: Consult your cardiologist before eating here.

Good food, bad service.. I’ve been coming to Gene’s for years. After a fire burnt down their restuaraunt the burgers just haven’t had that same taste… I suppose that 50 years or so of heavy grease soaked into the grills really did add to the flavor. Even with the new grills, the burgers taste great and I don’t think I’ve ever had bad food here. (Once it was cold, but that was due to the service.) My biggest complaint of Gene’s is the service is awful! Most of the waitresses look like meth addicts. You’d think that maybe they would be super efficient or extra helpful… you’d be dead wrong. They seem to be so frazzled/zombie like that they can’t bother to check on you but once an hour… and you’re lucky to get your food back to you hot half of the time. (This isn’t to speak of the entire waitstaff… but there is a significant portion that falls into this category.) It’s actually for this reason I haven’t been back to Gene’s in some time. Shame really… as I do miss their burgers.
BEST in Town!. I was born and raised in WF…I’m off at college right now but I’m coming back as soon as I can because of places like this. Gene’s looks only like a small building downtown, but has burgers that have not changed for MANY MANY decades. The Frisco burger is great, and my favorite is the large double cheeseburger. The fries are NOT that great, but the onion rings and tater tots aren’t bad at all. But I don’t come to this place for the side dishes!
What’s Wrong With A Flat Patty?!. I LOVE Gene’s. I try to go at least once a month. I love their burgers. I always get 2-3 patties on my burger because they’re thin (just how I like them). Whoever wants a thick pattied restaurant-esque burger needs to go somewhere else. However, if you have a hankering for a juicy burger that has delighfully thin patties then head on over to Gene’s. Oh, and don’t forget to accompany that burger with a nice chocolate malt.
Wheres the beef?. My husband and I went here because we saw good reviews and wanted a juicy tasty burger at a local favorite. Since were not from the area we really wanted a local experience. My husband had the famous frisco burger and I had the cheeseburge. I anticipated a fat juicy burger but what I received was a flat juicy burger. I even ordered a large burger and it was flat and didnt even fill the bun. The frisco burger was the same but covered in chili which gave his meal more substance. the fries were horrible, cold and soft and bendy, I had onion rings which I couldnt eat because the onion slices were soooo thick and the rings were very greasy. I wouldnt say the burger was bad it was not dry, it was just flat and small and didnt satisfy my burger craving. Tomorrow I will try Ronnies and really hope for redemption.
