Excellent Mexican restaurant. We started with the $3.75 happy hour margaritas and then ordered Carna Asada, Chicken Enchilladas, and Beef Fajitas. All dinners were excellent, served with a smile and at reasonable prices. The ambiance is the same as it was when Alfredos operated the place…very nice, comfortable, and pleasant. Incidentally, the chips and dip were also very good and the dip was especially tasty and on the hot side. Overall, the 4 of us were very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely return.
Crazy Cow- Not Crazy Food.. We liked everything that we at this slightly hard to find place. We had Carne Guisada, Chlli Verde, and Chicken Fajita Queso. This was accompanied by large and delicious Margaritas. The dcor was fine and the service was done with a genuine smile.20 Jan, 2015Crazy cow- Good food.. This place is a little hard to locate but every dish we ate was good. The inexpensive margaritas were also fine. We had carne guisada , chili Verdi, and chicken fajita queso, and all were good. Decor was fine and we had service with a smile.
Delicious. The food was delicious. We had a party of 9 and got seated immediately. Everything was freshly made as we ordered it. The chips and salsa were fresh. It’s a little hard to find but worth finding it. The fajitas both chicken and beef were perfectly cooked. We got the lunch special and the portions were big.
Awful. The only positive about our dining experience was that the food came out hot. However, it was bland. The chips were thick and stale, the salsa was spicy water, and the queso didn’t taste like cheese. Our server barely acknowledged us until it was time to leave and she never refilled our drinks. There wasn’t any toilet paper in either stall of the restroom, nor were there any paper towels. There was, however, an unflushed bm in one of the toilets. Needless to say, the online reviews for this restaurant were a letdown. Having lived in Southeast Texas nearly my entire life, I’ve been accustomed to amazing Tex-Mex and unfortunately Wichita Falls is lacking. I’d venture to say that Fuzzy’s Tacos is better than this and cheaper. I’ll stick with The Jalapeo Tree from now on though.
Such a great restaurant.! The best mexican food you will find in town. The best prices too! I love the atmosphere a great family restaurant but theres also a great bar! This is my new favorite place to eat. I recommend la vaca loca to everyone!
I just moved from New Mexico, and am delighted to say La Vaca Loca is wonderfully tasty! The salsa (homemade) is excellent. The food is quite good. La Vaca Loca is our Mexican Food Restaurant of choice.
The salsa is really flavorful, and homemade! Service was quick, and servers were very friendly. Fish tacos were yummy, good portion (not too much), and you can’t beat their happy hour margaritas ($3.00)!
