Not so romantic date night!. My husband and I have two toddlers, so on rare occasion we get to sneak away and leave them with a sitter to have a romantic dinner. We decided to try Pelican’s out since we had heard it was fine dining and we were feeling a little adventurous. But it ended up being far from romantic. The first thing is it was crazy loud. Volume wise it is insufferable. The night started okay and as the evening progressed the volume went up and up. At one point we were yelling at each other from across the table to talk. We didn’t even stand out…that’s how loud it got. Secondly, the dcor is awful. Reminded me a little of how Bennigains use to be with all the crap all over the walls as the dcor but rather than old American style it was just a lot of fish stuff. I did like the low lighting but if it hadn’t been for that I don’t think we would have even eaten there. The food was ok. We had a very interesting dish of calamari that had a unique sauce (Shanghai) which I wouldn’t order again but it was kind of cool. The wine I got was ok, nothing to write home about. I bought lobster and my husband got steak…nothing special. I have had better quality lobster at several places around town.In conclusion, it wasn’t great. I spent over $100 bucks and got lower end atmosphere and food than Red Lobster and they even are a little better cause they give you those awesome rolls.

Pricey!!!. And the food was terrible!! The steaks are freakin tough. I seriously thought my knife was not sharp enough at first. Not seasoned and just plain nasty!

Too pricey. Went here to try something new and have a romantic date. the food was good but not worth the price we paid. my husband got the prime rib and was not impressed. he said that the one at Texas roadhouse was better. I got the peppercorn NY strip which was delicious. Our waitress was OK. She seemed to disappear and seemed rushed when she was at our table. the atmosphere again…for the money we paid…was not very impressive. it seemed dark and dingey. I would save your money and go somewhere where you get just as good food for a less expensive ticket.

Top Notch. Great Steaks and Fresh Seafood. We have been coming here for years and have always had a wonderful time. Try the smoked salmon appetizer! It’s GREAT.

It was ok, the price was high I wouldn’t call it high class dining but it was ok
