Tried goat biryani and chicken curry. Both were very tasty! Nan was good. Drinks are either bottled of canned. All of that food at dinner portions cost around $15!
Excellent, no frills, unexpected dining pleasure. The two guys seated nearby were from India speaking their native tongue and made me feel I was in their country instead of Wichita Falls. I had the spicy eggplant and a coconut water and left very satisfied.
This place made feel like Anthony Bourdain; walk into a totally unassuming hole in a wall strip mall joint & get absolutely blown away. The humble facade belies the gastric delights within this tiny Indian bistro. As I usually do when eating at a new joint I ask whoever takes my order to bring me what they would eat, this is the best avenue for discovery. I was brought a light lentil soup with cilantro, onion and a hint of lemon grass, new to me but wonderful! I was also brought a chicken curry that was easily the most savory I have ever had. With the lentil soup and chicken curry she brought wonderful paratha that was crispy, moist and buttery, so damn good! If you happen to be in Wichita Falls please treat yourself to this fantastic tiny Indian bistro, you won’t be disappointed!
Really good and rediulously …. Good authentic Indian food and rediulously cheap prices. The restaurant is VERY small and gets overwhelmed easilly, so dont be in a rush when you go and I’d recommend against going with a party any bigger than 4. Definitely worth checking out though.
Excellent chicken biryani. Chicken biryani is the best dish ever! It is rich with flavor and very spicy. Add the naan bread with it- its great! I crave this dish. Make sure and tell them you want it spicy. the portion is enough for two meals but its hard to not eat it all at once.
I had a dish that the first word was Hydrarabi (I think) It was chicken and rice. It was great! And a big portion size and it was only $5.99 It was nice to find the only Indian restaurant in Wichita is really good. I’ll be going back.
Update- awful food, worse service. My review from 3 years ago:A taste of the Southeast in The Falls. Pleasantly surprised to find an Indian Restaurant in Wichita Falls after living here 6 months. Ordered the Beef Biryani and was pleased to find authentic flavors. Portion was more than generous for the price. And if you are looking to create your own Indian cuisine, they have spices you can purchase in the restaurant. It’s located in the Puckett Plaza on the NW corner of 9th & Brook.
