Cafeteria style. It felt a little like prison with my metal plate. Not that I would know because I’ve never been to prison…I digress. Some of the employees had hats and others didn’t. There was this one guy with a really long beard and it wasn’t covered either. None of these ppl should be serving food. The side order bar was very messy looked which gave an unsanitary appearance. It was a while before a bus boy came to the dining room so there were several tables that needed to be cleaned off and the floors cleaned. It just makes me think if what I can see looks like this, I wonder what the back looks like. Any who. The meat was nice and tender which is always a plus. The ribs were awesome; sauce or no sauce. Hot links were good as well. I even ordered another to go. The side items were (macaroni salad, hush puppies, fried okra) was mediocre.
Angry People, Decent Food. The people working there are very rude. I called once to ask a question about placing a big catering order and they hung up on me. Went in for lunch one day and received the same type of service. I’ve had BBQ all over the state and it really wasn’t that good. The meats were not warm, fatty, and sides were ok. I will definitely not be going back.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. I love the Branding Iron. We live in Fort Worth and make the drive to Wichita Falls just for their BBQ. I really like their chicken and okra. Worth the trip.
Stopped here on our way through Texas. It was a little hole in the wall place with busted bathrooms, but the food was amazing and the service was impeccable! They loaded our plates with chicken, sausage, ham and brisket and ten let us pile all the fried okra, beans, coleslaw, and other sides we wanted. We fed our family of five with two plate dinners! All the meat was fabulous especially the chicken. I’ve had better brisket, but their’s was still good. The chicken was probably te best I have ever had. My favorite was these little fried bites of spicy cheese and rice. Not sure what they are called, but they were sooo good. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip across country.27 Jul, 2014Stopped here on our
Not even OK. Heard so much hype about this place and I was truly disappointed. I ordered pork shoulder and the gut serving it was extremely rude never smiled or said how are you. The meat was cold and so were the sides and was very fatty. My bf ordered ribs and sausage only no sides and paid 11 dollars for 2 ribs and a sausage and he didn’t even like the ribs. Will not be going back poor customer service and sub par food
Pork shoulder hit the spot. Live the tart sweet sauce. Okra so-so, my husband makes better pea salad, but this is close. Will definitely be here again.
Delicious bbq! Cheap prices and tons of food, especially since after u order whatever meat u want, u serve yourself the sides. Loved it and will definitely go back!
