Absolutely terrible experience here. We were traveling and looking for somewhere to have dinner in Waco. We wanted steak and having never been in the area before, we were looking at a list of restaraunts in the area that served steak. I called one thirty five prime to ask about the restauraunt. I wanted to know if it was casual or formal and explained to the girl we were traveling and dressed very casually. She toldme the restaraunts was casual, so weShowed up dressed in jeans and casual shirts… Because we were traveling. We walk in the door and this is OBVIOUSLY not a casual establishment. We are looked up and down by the staff with distain (the same staff who 5 minutes earlier had assured me it was a casual establishment.) Needless to say, I was very embarrassed and uncomfortable. We ordered Merlot which had a horrible aftertaste, had an appetizer which was okay, and ate some bread which had a strange taste. And then we left and found somewhere we didn’t feel out ofPlace and unwelcome. Overall, just not impressed with this restaraunt. Not with the overpriced menu, with the little food and drinks we did order, and not with judgmental staff person who was too I incompetent to answer a simply question honestly. I will never go back to this restaraunt and would not recommend this place to anyone. Worst dining experience ever.
When I travel I seek out good steak houses . Thus one is good, not the best I’ve been to, but good. My waiter Thomas was a very enjoyable waiter . Got bone in ribeye and on a scale from 1-10 it would be a 7 1/2. Good bourbon selection. Reastraunt is tucked away in shopping strip, so it is easy to miss. I would eat here again! 🙂
A Must visit in Waco. Top steakhouse in Waco. But don’t neglect to try the seafood and the special for the week it’s always fabulous!
Great for the Area. I have eaten here several times. The food is always good. It is the best steakhouse in Waco. Due to where it isd (Waco), quality serving staff is not always the best (If you are expecting Morton’s, or Capital Grill, they definately have better trained quality staff). Overall they do a great job. Their Steak Gorgonzola is wonderful. The have suteed spinach, which is good, but I sure miss good creamed spinach. Their HOUSE salad is not to be missed. It has sliced appled, greens, candied pecans, and a lovely vinaigarette on it. I do wish they were open for lunch.
My husband and I absolutely love 135! We always enjoy a meal there. We especially enjoy the chefs weekly special. This is the place to go for an awesome steak!
Finally, a good steakhouse in Waco!. We have been visiting Waco for over 8 years now with kids going to Baylor, and have been searching for a decent restaurant. Finally, we tried One Thirty Five Prime and were very impressed. The service from Ryan was great, and the steak was really good! We enjoyed the cheese plate appetizer, the house and wedge salads, the filets were cooked nicely, and the three cheese Mac was really smooth. Alli-in-all, a very nice meal with a nice atmosphere, on par with a good DFW steakhouse.
Overpriced and slow. We’ve eaten here a couple of times on special occasions and once just for dessert. Almost every time and especially this last time the service was poor. We were just ordering dessert and our waiter took about 10 minutes to bring us water and 10 more minutes to take our order. In the meantime he was showing quite a bit of attention to another couple in the corner. The food is okay, but not a good value by any means. We’ve tried quite a few places around Waco and would love to have a really good fine dining experience, but have yet to be really pleased. The closest we can find is Cheeves Bros in Temple.
