Absolutely THE worst experience Ive had in a restaurant in my entire life. Period. I have been a server myself, so has my husband and over half of us that were at the table, so we were all very aware of what was going on in the restaurant. The service the whole first half of our experience there was very slow. Not impressive. As it got busier the server finally began to pick up the pace. But long story short, there were 4 separate checks at the table; one couple had to leave early and waited an absurd amount of time for their check, AND for someone to cash them out, so they left it for us to finish for them. They told us what tip to put on there for them. We then went to pay ours, while the other two had not fully paid yet. The server (Carrie), then came back to the table, waving the black folder in my husbands face asking with attitude and all defensive if there was something wrong with her service. Both of us, quite alarmed and not wanting to make a scene, said no politely and that it was fine. She yelled out as she walked off that she never gets that percent of a tip. (Which was left by the couple who wasnt even there anymore). When she came back around for the others, we explained to her a few things that were quite frustrating about the service, and she was angrily raising her voice at us, with every excuse in the book, waving her hand at us saying TWICE to us, Oh dont worry, WE remember faces around here! Like…is she threatening to not serve us if we come back in? Or, maybe spit in our food in the back next time? Not sure…but she wont have to worry about it, because we will NEVER be coming back. That is not the way you treat paying customers, who GAVE you a tip. And just for a little insight, the difference in the tip she was given, and the tip she was demanding we should have given, was about $1.60. Soooo…Im not really sure why she was even that upset. Yes, I did purposely reduce the tip amount because we waited for drink orders to be taken, drinks were left empty, and we didnt even have our order taken for at least 20 minutes (and this was when we first got there and it wasnt even busy yet). I am just appalled that someone can even keep a job with that kind of service. We asked Carrie if we could speak to a manager, so a kid showed up, who appeared to be the busser. We walked out front to speak to him and tell him what had happened, and all he said was, well Im really sorry about that. Thats it!!! Not that he would talk to her or ANYTHING! I am 99% sure that we were lied to and that he was not the manager at all! Just fair warning if you get Carrie as a server at Pancho and Leftys in St. George, make sure you are a REALLY good tipper otherwise you might get your head bit off. Unfortunately, the others at the table had left her an average of a 28% tip. Kinda wished we could have all given her nothing.
Chimichanga was pretty bland. Enchiladas were disgusting. Had very strange taste, possibly the dark sauce was bad or something. Won’t go there again.
Food was just like any other Mexican restaurant and the service was lacking. They don’t give you chips and salsa until after you order. Weird!
Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Service was quick and friendly. Good place to stop by on your way to Vegas. Hostess was kinda rude but not holding that against the restaurant
I love this place it is my favorite Mexican joint in St. George. There enchiladas are my favorite but I also love their salsa it is the right amount of heat for me. There ceviche is absolutely to die for it has a wonderful spice to it it is so good I highly recommend this place
Service was not bad. Food was very poor. Beans and rice way over done. Chile Verde average at best. For the price point, more should be expected.
Plain boring Mexican food. Katie from the Marriott recommended this place, she must be paid by them. Carne asada burrito was mostly rice and lettuce, little meat. Guacamole tasted like avocados mashed up with no spices. Taco bell is more exciting thwn this place. Waitress was amazing though and Dr Pepper was tasty!
