Food was overpriced and poor quality, service was slow, and plates were dirty. Ordered the tempura fried pickles appetizer that didn’t come until after the entrees. They looked very pale and their shape sort of resembled a bug. In fact, biting into it made me feel like I was eating a giant fried bug and that’s where I stopped. Not even the free bread was any good and the butter they brought out with it was just slapped onto a tiny (dirty) plate. They should pay more attention to quality and cleanliness, but it seems like all of their time was spent on modern (and ridiculous) ways to plate food.
Work Lunch. I took my team of 10 to celebrate a birthday yesterday. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The chocolate cake was amazing and quesadillas was heads and shoulders over most quesadillas at other places. I have been once for Sunday brunch and it was great, the live music was refreshing.
I really have nothing positive to say. The service was horrible, the food disgusting and their outside dining is on cheap patio furniture. Someone buy out this location please and put a REAL restaurant in there….the South Valley needs it!!!
Horrible customer service. After trying multiple times to book a reservation for a large party and being treated so incredibly RUDE!!!!! I will never recommend or go to this place!!!!
Good eats. Good service.. In spite of all the lackluster reviews for the service at Cliff House, we decided to give it a try for lunch. We were quite pleased that we did.Stacy, our waitress, was quick, efficient, and timely. Friendly, not intrusive. Willing and able to give suggestions and reviews. A perfect waitress.The food, a beef short-rib sandwich, onions, and mushrooms with delicious au-jus was the winner. The Cuban was a close second, with an excellent roasted pork flavor.The fries were OK. Personally, I don’t understand battered fries. A well-made Frenched fry has plenty of crispy exterior without having to add heavy batter. That said – they were hot, crunchy, and salty, as I assume they should be.In conclusion – a pleasant place for some satisfying pub food and a beer on a nice patio. Maybe the dinner staff is different, but the lunch staff seems to be right on track.
Had dinner last night with friends. What a great view, live music. Had the dynamic sald and Bianca pizza. Home run. Our wait person was happy and prompt. Everything you’d want in an evening out!
We’ve been to the place several times thinking the service would be better. Today was the last time. To put it bluntly the service blows!! After sitting there for 20 minutes, watching tables seated after us being served, we decided to walk out. Until Cliffhouse can pull their heads out of their ass and hire good servers, I would avoid this place like the Black Plague.
