Customer. Ordered for take out on the phone. Apparently the menu on line and the menu at the Draper location were different. Went back and forth with the person on the phone about many things. Had to clarify many times. Ordered Lunch special # 9 and 10, which included steamed rick and fried eggroll. Ordered tempura shrimp as an app and fresh spring rolls as an app. Lots of confusion about tempura shrimp. Menu change and not applied to on line menu apparently. Well the lunch special I got was the panaang which was great, the steamed rice which was great, the spring roll order which was great. However the second choice of the lunch menu was something other than what I ordered and the tempura veggie with added shrimp was far from desireable. Soggy, under cooked and lacking in shrimp that I am used to.I will go there again and share my thoughts face to face and see what happens.I have eaten there before to stay and was very happy. Not sure what happened.Try it and see for yourself.
Waste of money. We usually go to the Tea Rose in Murray but decided to branch out. Our experience at Thai Siam was so bad that I think I will be afraid to try a new restaurant for a long time. We ordered spring rolls which were very very stale and two of them did not have the shrimp we were paying extra for. I had coconut soup which was a little too sweet and seemed americanized to me but it wasn’t that bad and a lime helped it. My husband got the steak salad and couldn’t eat the meat. He was sure that something was very wrong with it. We felt really bad because the waitstaff was perfect. She asked how everything was but we were to embarrassed to send the food back. But, for the first time in 11 years my husband wrote a note on our receipt to the kitchen letting them know that the food was terrible. I am baffled by the positive reviews and awards because we aren’t that picky we just don’t like old and bad smelling food.
I considered licking my plate. Incredible. A group of women went for lunch stayed forever they were awesome about letting us stay and not being annoyed
This has become one of our favorite restaurants.
Thisnplace is awesome! Trust me! Get the curry puff app, and masaman curry and rice. Total score! Ill keep this place open with my own money if i have to.
Amazingly authentic tasty Thai cuisine. Delicious food, great atmosphere, quick service, and an honest reasonable price. We recommend Thai Siam to everybody. Two thumbs way up! Four stars!
Just What Draper Needed!. We have been long time customers of Thai Siam downtown and are so happy they now have a location in the south end of the valley. They have turned an old Ruby Tuesday into a beautiful space and you are greeted with the same great servers from downtown who are all very kind and prompt. The food never disappoints. Always very fresh and I can’t believe how great the prices are for the quality you get. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
