Jeff knows bbq. This is my favorite bbq place to go. Jeff does bbq right. His plum sauce wings are killer. Not to mention the sides are great, just try to eat just one. Great place.

Disappointed. We were on our vacation and needed to find a casual restaurant close to I-15. Read the reviews and thought it would be a good choice. Would not eat there again! The meat was cold and dry. The sauce was extremely runny, like it had been diluted. Disappointing!

Pretty good. Good food, restaurant is a little confusing on the layout and flow. Also was a little messy up front with the piles of mail on counter

Great BBQ in Layton. I love this hole in the wall joint in Layton. The Chicken and Brisket is fantastic. They both are marinated in amazing sauces and the chicken basically melts in your mouth. The ambiance is very nonconforming but very cute. The fires are also cooked very well. I love this little joint in the big city of Layton.

Decent BBQ, Not Great. Pretty decent BBQ. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in state, but it’s still pretty good. We tried the sampler so we could get a taste of all the goods. The chicken was actually our favorite. It was perfectly cooked and moist. The pulled pork was possibly the worst, which is such a shame because that’s how I usually judge a good BBQ place. It was dry and tasteless. We poured on a ton of sauce and still didn’t feel like finishing it.The brisket was pretty good but I’m not a huge brisket fan to start with. The ribs were a little overcooked which made them a little too dry for my liking. We added a little extra sauce and they tasted fine. The sides were all pretty good. The fried pickles were interesting – I’d probably get them again next time. The mac and cheese was pretty good. The sweet potato fries were better than average. The green jello might seem quirky but it was actually nice to help cleanse the pallet when trying so many different meats.I might go back if I was in the area, but I probably wouldn’t drive from Salt Lake just to eat here.

Good meat. It is a rare place that has both good bbq meat and good sauce. This place has good meat. If you’re a bbq purist, bring your own sauce. They have several sauces that are a stretch to call bbq sauce from any region. They aren’t bad, and if you give them a chance they kind of work, depending what meat you get. But would be much better with an appropriate regional sauce. Unfortunate. The list of sides is immense, and we found several winners.
