The Smoking Apple catered a corporate event I put on yesterday for nearly 50 people. Their service, pricing and food are top notch. The attendees went nuts for the delicious BBQ they served us including chicken, sausage and pork. The beans and coleslaw were equally delicious. The owner himself brought the food, set it up and then cleared everything after the lunch portion of our event. I cannot recommend The Smoking Apple enough. We have been here 3 times. The first time we got the briscuit and it was juicy and cooked just right. We got the two meet combo and the pulled pork was ok. It came with two sides so we got the sweet potatoe fries and regular fries. Both were great. 2nd time we got the same put tried the chicken instead of the pork and it was still just ok but the briscuit was overcooked and dry. The third time today they only let us have one fry, and if we got sweet potatoe fries would charge extra. Also we got double briscuit since the other meets weren’t anything special and hoped the 2nd time was just a bad day but this time we got hardly any meet, maybe 1/3 a pound which is considered double servings to them. It was way overpriced. Not worth it. I can’t believe they considered a fry double sides. Not worth it. R and R is such a better value and they give you way more meat for the same price and they don’t consider fries as two sides. Seriously fries are so cheap to make, maybe 25% worth of potatoes, I don’t get why they penny pinched on us this time. I recommend r and r over the smoking Apple hands down for taste and value
