Anybody who wants good sushi I’d highly advice you not to go to The Black Pearl in logan. Its not sanitatay. And they rip you off plus there employees. Just saying. After working there and seeing the way it’s cooked and ran. I would highly advice not to go there. But, hey if you like your food sneeezed in be my guest. /:
My favorite. I have eaten here at least two time a month for two years and love it. I never have been disappointed the service is great the food is wonderful. I am Gluten Free and It is awesome to be able to go out and enjoy a Asian meal without wheat. Honey walnut shrimp is the bomb…(that means spectacular) My family loves it too there favorites are hot and sour soup, beef with broccoli and they love the avocado egg rolls as well.my husbands favorite is the phad tai.
Great Restaurant. I have heard that in the past that under different management that this place wasn’t good. However, I have been a dedicated customer for the past couple of months simply because they are awesome! The three main reasons I love this place;1. Great prices on great sushi2. Gluten free options (no other asian food establishment in Logan has that)3. The owner takes pride in his restaurantI recommend this place highly. If you want quality food that is supervised by a person who actually cares about the quality of his food… Go here. If you want the only gluten free asian cuisine in cache valley…. Go here. And if you want food that actually tastes good for a great price…. Go here. The end.
The black pearl is disgusting and horrible and the service is even worse. I will never eat here again.13 Nov, 2012The sushi is great, at least for Utah. However the waitress forgot about me and I just sat there waiting for a menu for a few minutes, then it happened when I was waiting for my drink to come and my dishes to be cleared. I sat at the bar. The people at the tables got a lot more attention paid to them. Overall though, I quite liked it and would recommend it to my friends.
The Lo Mein was absolutely delicious! I wasn’t impressed with their fried rice. My husband had some sushi that he liked (I’m not a sushi fan). Their prices are good and we will definitely go back.
Roll size shrinking. The sushi rolls here keep getting thinner and thinner. They are also using much less toppings as well.Service is spotty. The owner is nice enough, but his server screws up orders too often. Kabuki and Black Pearl now both have happy hour discounted menus, but both have issues. Discounted sushi is suffering in Logan.Skip it.09 Jul, 201250% off rolls, only happy hour in town. While all of the other places in Logan charge full price, you can always find a great deal on sushi rolls here. And all of the rolls I’ve had here were very tasty and fresh. I was surprised at how fresh the tuna in their tuna roll tasted.. Their Sunset roll with lemon on top is a favorite of mine. I still need to try their Nigiri & Sashimi.Ambiance is pleasant enough, though on the dark side. And seeing a cooking show on the tv above the sushi bar was odd. Our server’s noisy little kids were running around the place a little too much. But all in a in, it’s a pretty good place for sushi.
I used to love this restaurant! But now it’s under new management and I’m not impressed. The hot and sour soup was gross, the general tao’s chicken was bland, and the rice was too. The sushi they sent with the dinner special was ok, but not impressive. 🙁
