Going down hill. I was greatly disappointed. Took my mother to dinner on a Wednesday night, not at all busy, but took 10 min. for the waitress to even make an appearance. I ordered the prime rib which came luke warm without au jus. The horseradish sauce was so bland I couldn’t even taste the horse radish. The fresh dinner was still great but apparently they don’t have the raspberry jam anymore. My mother ordered the ground round steak she said it was good but not hot. I think the waitress let the food sit awhile before serving. The wait staff was lollygagging about and showed no motivation at all.. I wont be going back. to bad previous visits have been very enjoyable.
Why stay in business?. My wife and I decided to have lunch at the Blue Bird Cafe today and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Our meal which was 1) Patty Melt 2) Grilled ham & cheese actually took 45 minutes to get served. The main issue was that the ham & cheese was delivered without the ham. The server took it back and came back 5 minutes later with the ham but the cheese was not melted at all. Very poor kitchen and very poor service which may be interlinked. Based on previous comments it appears that this establishment is in a steep decline
Good normal food at pretty cheap prices. We had the filet mignon. It was tender and flavorful. It’s a full meal served with salad or soup, choice of potato, roll and veggies. Great old fashioned soda fountain. Service was fantastic. A great time.
Awesome food and service. Get the bluebird chicken and an ironport. You won’t be disappointed.
My family and I went and the food was HORRIBLE! The turkey sandwich my mom had was fake rubber turkey and the chicken I had was all fatty and the only thing that was worth it was the rolls and salads, we were so disappointed the food used to be so good the turkey sandwiches used to have real turkey and the chicken looked and tasted better than what I had, will never go again
Great American homestyle food. the atmosphere is cool, since it is in an old and well finished building. One downfall was that the staff was a little hard to deal with. The wait staff didn’t seem properly trained and since we were there for a large party event when we tried to deal with the management they were not very accommodating.
Good food. Their food is good. Kind of a higher-class cafeteria-style food, but still really good. They have some specialty drinks that are really good too. I would suggest getting their cream soda. Very reasonable price for the food and service you receive. I am tempted every time by their chocolates behind the counter when I go up to pay the bill.
