Every other local eatery suffers by comparison. I’ve been to San Fransisco and have had Chinese that does not equal the quality of this place. I’ve found a place in bountiful that is comparable, but definitely not worth the drive. The combination dinners are great. Three Kinds of Spicy is sweet, tangy, and spicy. Wonderful vegetables, chicken, beef, and shrimp.
Shay Shay. I’d like to thank Formosa for making a very good dining experience. The staff was friendly, the fish in the aquarium were cute, and the food was delicious. The environment reminded me of what would happen if Denny’s went to Hunan province. My party ordered the spicy bean curd: soft tofu stir-fried in a red pepper spicy sauce. We also ordered the vegetable Mu gu gai pan, which also came out great. crisp vegetables, no pork (the menu had that as an option), and a typical plum sauce. We also ordered spring rolls, which were the skinny fried egg rolls, not the transparent wraps with the basil and mint. The menus were a bit confusing due to the very large size. Just go to the back pages, and the menu items are sorted out by meat (or no meat) choices.
