Owner is a complete ass. Avoid if at all possible!
Good Korean food is hard to find in Utah but this place is nice. I’m Korean and grew up eating Korean 3x a day. Yeah, there are better places than here but super far away and usually more expensive. A lot of people have said the guy here is grumpy and mean and bitter, but I’m telling you, he’s not. He’s just super shy and the language barrier doesn’t help much (I think it’s more a matter of pride). I think he’s more embarrassed that he can’t speak English as well as he wants to and his wife more than makes up for it in her sweet, fussy-like-a-mom way. The prices are a bit expensive, but it is a family-style dining place (so share!), not a to each his own type of place (unless you’re ordering soup or bibimbap, in which case, good for you! it’s amazing). The food as all the right flavors and spices and has that home-cooked-by-a-korean-mom taste. My mom’s will always be the best (isn’t it always that way?) but this is a nice substitute. Sam Hawk in Provo is pretty good, too. For newcomers, try the galbi, the bulgogi, the bibimbap and the pa-jeon.
My favorite place in town. When I’m dining out in Logan, this is always the first place that pops into my mind. Their prices have gone up, but it’s not unexpected. I’ve never had bad service or found the owner to be cold in the ten years I’ve been eating here. Go and eat some Bibimbap, it’s good for your soul. Also, the attached market is awesome. They have some of the cheapest tofu and fish sauce prices in town. In addition you can usually pick up barbecue eel, kimchi, Korean soft drinks and even Natto on the cheap there.
Terrible. The only people I know of who like their food are people who don’t know what Korean food is supposed to taste like. The owner is a grumpy, bitter man with an angel of a wife. Unfortunately, he is usually the one who provides the service. If you can avoid it, don’t go. If you absolutely must go…don’t go. If you do go, you’ll most likely regret it.
Great food. The BBQ is excellent and I can’t get enough of their sticky rice. Try some of the other dishes if you feel more adventurous, they are equally as good if you like korean. The service is fast although a bit odd… You’ll see what I mean:)
Don’t let the appearence fool you this place has great Korean especially the kim chi.
Bad taste- mashi-obda!. Just so-so food. Not very many side dishes. Not friendly help. Only reason they are in business is b/c they are the only korean place in town. Sadly, we would love to eat korean and often do when visiting Ogden or SLC. I’d love to give it another shot if management changed or they improved their menu.
