We have eaten here about 50 times. Food is good. Service is not. After tonight we won’t go again. If you want to deal with snotty hostesses and ornery waitresses this is your place.
Disappointed. Nice atmosphere, but that’s about all I liked. We started with Bruschetta that we added cheese to for an EXTRA $2. On the menu it said it came with four pieces and we only received three with a mound of tomatoes on top. When we alerted the waitress she said they started using larger pieces of bread so that’s why we got 3. I ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi, which was tasty but very rich and has left me feeling nauseous. My boyfriend ordered veal ravioli and they looked like huge folded triangles. After tasting the sauce on his we both thought it had a strange plastic taste that we couldn’t endure. He has never sent back food, and has never received something that inedible. The service was sparse, the wait for food was long, and I will not be going here again.
Le Nonne. The food was good. It’s a nicer restaraunt. The cuisine is authentic. We went on 10/12/2012 and they had a guitarrist playing. It’s relaxing, slow paced just like you would expect from Italy. Where you can relax, have good conversation, enjoy the music and of course enjoy the food.
Great place to eat in Logan. This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Logan. Everything on the menu is delicious. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat because it’s all so good but I would recommend the Crab Ravioli. It’s actually fresh, authentic, Italian food unlike Olive garden or Gia’s. And the service is extremely personable and it is quiet enough that I can actually hear what my server is saying. The atmosphere can not be beat, especially in the summer. Nothing is better than sitting outside on the patio in this quaint adorable restaurant when the live band is playing. The food is definitely not overpriced considering how it’s always made fresh and to perfection. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and highly recommend it.
In Logan?. I heard people raving about how good this place was, so my wife and I decided to try it. We were promptly greeted, then seated shortly thereafter. We ordered the Bruchetta(sp?) which was really good. I also really liked their fresh pesto sauce. I can’t remember what we ordered for our entrees, but they were both really good. We ended up ordering the Creme Brulee for dessert (which if I’m not mistaken is French), but was also very tasty. The prices seemed a bit high, but I think the quality of their service and food justifies it. If you’d rather, you can go to The Olive Garden if you want a pushy server offering not as great service in a loud and busy environment.I’d rather enjoy the better quality food, great service, and quite/romantic date-night type of atmosphere at Le Nonne.
The most authentic Italian in Logan. I like Le Nonne. It might not be the best Italian in Utah but for Logan, it’s pretty dang good. For those complaining that you don’t want to be corrected, or complaining that the dishes were strange, well it’s not an Olive Garden so if you want Americanized Italian, go there. And for those turning up your nose saying there is no variety, well move out of Logan or drive to Salt Lake. The chef has done a good job of carefully selecting dishes that suit Cache Valley. If he served what true Italians like to eat on special occasions, well this place wouldn’t get much business from Cache Valley. I’ve lived all over (Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, Provo area, couple places in Texas), and I’ve had an Italian boyfriend and eaten with his family many times. The olive tapenade is to die for and the bruschetta with mozzarella was a little soggy from the fresh tomatoes and a bit too charred around the edges- I don’t know if I’d order that again, there are better things on the menu. Caesar salad is always good. I had the Pollo ai Funghi and it was delicious, and even better the second day. Hubs had the Ravioli di Polla alla Marinara which was really good too. Take time to peruse the menu and when in doubt, stick to flavors you recognize and know you like. Yes, it could be better, but when you realize Angie’s and Chili’s are the busiest restaurants in town, it’s not the chef to blame is it?
Cute little house. But I thought the food was overpriced. I was surprised when I got my spinach and cheese ravioli the sauce was very watery.
