Went to Apollo Burger yesterday and we were the only ones in there. It is my favorite place to eat in town. My problem is becoming that it is not consistent. Every time we go it is something different. Yesterday the burger was over cook and tough as shoe leather. And the Fries you have the best fries, were so salty I had to try to wipe off the excess salt as to be able force them down. Went to Smash Burger across the street a couple of times and got their hamburger and it was to salty. So i complained and they gave me a free one, tried them again, OK, the next time again was too salty. After three times I gave up and have not been back. Been to McDonald’s in town numerous times and not once has it been too salty.
I love a good pastrami burger, and Apollo makes one of the best. I ordered the golden combo which replaces the burger bun with grilled garlic bread instead of a standard hamburger bun. Tasty, greasy and filling. French fries were hot and cooked perfect and fry sauce on tap.

I thought this place was very good! The prices are kinda high, but the burgers are big and filling. The service actually was really good surprisingly as well because of how friendly they were.
Loved this place! Such yummy food! Good burgers, french fries were to die for and I loved the prep milkshake! The cashier lady, chantelle, was so very nice and friendly she definitely had great customer service and made us feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back.
Not my idea of a pastrami on rye. I hoped, hoped, I’d be able to get a NY style pastrami sandwich. So I hopped on over to Apollo Burger, and ordered as instructed by friends (not from NY, first problem) with extra pastrami. The meat wasn’t as fresh as I’d hoped, it just laid there brown. Not pink, brown. Mustard didn’t help. Maybe their hamburgers are better than the pastrami sandwiches. While not busy (they should have been) I’m wondering how long this is going to last. I know this is a chain so says my friends that love the Apollo Burger in SLC. But then they thought I’d love the pastrami here and I didn’t. Not NYC deli by any stretch of the imagination.
