Outdated menu that does not change often. High prices for what you get. The front end staff does not pay attention and often sits the wrong guest first. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and dim but the front end staff and food are lacking.

My husband and I ate at the Outback Steakhouse last night in St. George. How can you go wrong? We’ll we did. It was pretty busy because it’s the week of the Home Show. Always a crazy time in St. George. We sat at the bar and we’re hosted by a wonderful bar tender. She was very pleasant but disappointed we didn’t order drinks. We both had the lettuce wedge and a steak. My husband ordered the large prime rib medium and I ordered the sirloin medium. My husband would have liked a baked potato but at 6:30 in the evening they were out! Seems crazy they would run out of potatoes. Our lettuce wedges came out before our meal which was great. They were perfect in every way. We should have called it good and go home, but we were looking forward to a good steak. When my husbands steak came out it was more on the rare side but he was okay with it, until he couldn’t even cut a piece off. We didn’t know if it was a dull knife or the steak. He asked the bar tender to have them sear the steak thinking it would be better. That only fixed the appearance. The steak was so tough it was hard to chew. Even the most perfect part of the prime was tough and hard to chew. A fluke? Nope! After I ate my vegetable I cut into my sirloin. I could cut it, but I boulders chew it. I have never had a steak that was that tough. I do steak at home better than that. Outback must have bought some bad meat because both cuts of meat were bad. That was the worst $50 meal we have ever had!
