Tried it out this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I love a thin crust with a bit of char, a sauce that is not too sweet. The choice of toppings are different and tasty. Tried out the Viola and Secca, delicious. Walked out feeling satisfied, and spent less overall than a burger joint. Have to go back and try something different
Blackberries and prosciutto anyone? Haha, I couldn’t resist trying the Viola pizza once I saw it’s description, and I was pleasantly surprised by how the flavors worked together. My husband (the carnivore) ordered the Salsiccia, and probably would add extra meat if he ordered it again, but was still satisfied. The crust is delicious, thin, wood-fired, and I liked that the personal portion sizes made it so neither of us had to make compromises on our order. The layout was a bit confusing the first time in. I thought it would be like Caf Rio and I would move down the line with the pizza, but it is set up to order, pay, and sit to wait for your order. The wait was longer than I’d hope for, but the food was worth it.
Tried this place tonight and almost left before we ordered. We waited at the front counter, one person ahead of us, and all the kids behind the counter just kept glancing up at us but not saying anything. Finally after a few minutes wait we were acknowledged and ordered. We did a to go order with a kids cheese pizza, Margherita and Salsiccia. We waited approximately 10 minutes and our food was ready to go.It was still quite warm when we got home so that was great. This pizza is comparable to the Hurricane’s Pizza Wagon (which is our all time favorite pizza around Southern Utah) but the pizza wagon still has this place beat. The crust is about the same, a good, plain, soft crust with a touch of crispness. Not a lot of flavor but it’s still good, hard to explain. My husbands margherita was good but I was expecting slices of mozzarella cheese and not just shreadded. All the toppings tasted fresh, I loved the motz. cheese. Very good. My sausage pizza was eh, ok. The sausage itself did not have much taste to it so all I could really taste was the cheese and kalmata olives. We’ll go back just need to fine tune what we like best. As we were leaving I had seen someone’s pizza ith thick slices of motz. on it so I know they have it somewhere!
