Just okay. Room for improvement.. Before Floribertos opened its doors recently on State St., the place was called Comalitos. My work friends and I were sad to see Comalitos close down. Now that Floribertos has taken over the location, we decided to see how things are now.First, the inside of the building looks repainted. Floor is cleaner. But, they need to add more pictures, decorations, and light fixtures. Also, I noticed a couple of ceiling panels that need replacing. I think there was an air conditioning leak last year in the building and water may have damaged some of the ceiling panels. But overall, the inside seemed to be somewhat remodeled and brighter. You’d have to look more closely to notice flaws.Concerning the food, I always order Carne Asada Fries. I get this from Betos, Albertos, Rancheritos, Comelitos, and now Floribertos. So, with much experience with Carne Asada Fries, I have to say that it was just okay. I’ll give it a 6.5/10 rating. No doubt it tasted okay, but there was WAY TOO MUCH FAT in the meat. I’ve never had it this bad before. I was picking chunks of fat out of my mouth, and later just avoided eating the meat. A work friend from Massachusetts who has never tried this food also said there was too much fat and thus didnt finish his carne asada fries. I was embarrassed by this and wish his experience was better. They also didnt have diced onions to put on my food. Comalitos had diced onions. But Floribertos did have the red sauce and limes that I like. Finally, I tried the Tamarindo drink. It was good and reminds me of when I used to knock out from the trees in Michoacan the Tamarind pods.Overall, some things are better, and some things need improvement compared to what I remember from Comalitos. I hope Floribertos does well and corrects their shortcomings. I will try them one more time in the future and order the Carne Asada Fries. IF it doesnt meet par, then Im done with Floribertos; but if they fix their fatty meat issue, Ill be a reoccurring customer.

I love Floribertos! Their carne asada taco plate and burritos are so good. We had some friends move into a house nearby and we’ve come here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. It basically seems like Betos or Rancheritos (which apparently it used to be) but it’s definitely better than the Betos/Rancherito we have in Provo!!
