Tasty Russian & Polish cooking. The cafe here is only open on weekdays at lunch time. And since I’ve only been here on Saturdays, I have not yet sat down to a meal. BUT, behind the deli counter, they serve fresh sweet and savory baked goods. The breaded chicken pocket-loaf thingies taste amazing. Really some of the best chicken flavor I’ve ever had. The cheese pastries are pretty good, with raisins inside a mostly sweet, slightly savory cheese blend.Don’t go home with buying some Moskovskaya kolbasa to take home and slice up with cheese and crackers. It’s excellent! Some of their Russian drinks are also very unique. The last one I tried was a pear-citrus cola.Don’t be afraid to ask questions. They are usually very nice here, but often busy, so you may have to wait your turn.Great food, great people — I’ll be a regular here.
