Ignorant employees and a restaurant that does not honor their menu!. Never have I ever experienced more ignorance in my life! I will never order anything from this restaurant ever again!! Apparently when you order an entree from this restaurant, they charge you more than they advertise and do not send white rice … how am I supposed to eat this sweet and sour shrimp with no white rice? And when I called to tell them they forgot to send rice with my order, they said that sweet and sour does not come with rice?! Excuse me, but who has ever eaten sweet and sour ANYTHING without rice?! I would have ordered the jumbo fried shrimp and saved myself a dollar and a half if I knew they did not honor their menu and send rice with sweet and sour entrees. They will never get our business again, and I work in the hospital where we have ordered from there a lot … and all over an order of rice. What a terrible way to run a business. Don’t waste your time or your money … just go to Rice King in Midvale
Burnt ham fried rice and RUDE management!!!. When I phoned in order I told them about past orders of burnt fried rice and said I was going to check rice upon pickup. Once I got there I seen that the fried rice had pieces of burnt ham and showed to cashier the burnt pieces of ham telling her that these burnt pieces give the rice burnt flavor. She took rice to back area and returned saying that manager was coming to talk with me. Manager said nothing was wrong with rice and that its batch made, (basically sitting in rice warmer all day) haven’t had any complaints before. I asked to substitute something else and he said no, only can sub seam rice. At which, I didn’t want seamed rice. Manager was basically telling me that my concern wasn’t worth my future business. Upon my leaving with my order I told the cashier I’ll see them NEVER.
It would be better to be hungry than eat here. Lesson learned. My husband and I ordered very different meals: Orange Chicken and General Taos chicken. There was no discernible flavor difference between the two the only thing that was different was the color. The chicken was rubbery and over fried. The egg roll…. it is HUGE however it is basically stove stop stuffing, sliced lunch meat, breaded, battered and over fried. The shrimp was the same. There was so much grease and breading that there was no texture or anything left to hint that at one point there was a shrimp there. I have had their food before and it was just fine. However I will never be able to eat them ever again. It was absolutely sickening.
This WAS once our favorite Chinese take-out in Murray – something has changed. Our food tasted absolutely terrible, we were more than willing to though out our $25 meal without eating more than 5 bites when we stated questioning if we were truly eating chicken (I’ve never seen chicken be that color or have that stench ours had). Unfortunately, this is our last trip to Canton Village.
Bad food. Awkward Delivery Driver.. Just ordered this for delivery. Very poor quality to say the least. The chicken didn’t really taste like chicken, and I don’t even know what the egg roll was. It just looked like a big fried sphere. To top it all off the delivery driver was extremely awkward. He just lingered around and stared at me as if he was upset about his tip or something. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Disappointed. We’ve been eating here for years, but suddenly they won’t let us substitute for orange chicken in their dinners for two. She said they would allow some substitutes, but every time I asked she said no. Went to Mountain City in Holladay. They said yes the first time I asked! Go to Moutain City!
I think the food here is really good! It has more of a traditional taste to me, versus Americanized. Great prices and great food! Owners and staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a very modern feel to it.
