Pretty good flavors. This family owned and operated Chinese place serves mainly American-Chinese dishes to starving truckers. Their approximately 8 year old son waits most of the tables, while the rest of the kids argue over toys behind the counter while watching dvds, mom serves and buses, while dad cooks it all up in the back. They really are some friendly people and just attentive enough. We’ve only eaten here once so far, but their General Tso’s we had was a very unique take on it. The glaze was less sweet than most, had almost a bbq flavor, with small bits of char in the sauce that added almost a mesquite flavor to it. It was very good while it was hot, but too little sauce made it go cold fast. The hot and sour soup here isn’t bad, but it’s too simple for my liking and had an odd odor.My only real complaint would be the decor. I guess starving truckers don’t really care much, but I found the open boxes heaped everywhere more than a little distracting. But overall, it was a pretty good place for some sticky Americanized-Chinese food for very reasonable prices. We’ll likely make another stop in the near future and try something else on the menu.
