Rice plate is disgusting. My husband liked the pho, but I had the chicken and shrimp rice plate and it was gross. Only ate a few cucumbers and carrots.
Unattentive Service. I’ve been here twice…both times the service was left lacking. Maybe its a cultural thing…but I’d like to have a server come and check every now and then on us. It was also Super weird that at a nice sit down restaurant….they dont’ bring you a check!!! Both times I’ve been we waited around for 20+ mins, made eye contact w/ the server, but was ignored and never brought a check. SUPER WEIRD!!!
Stupefyingly long wait. Arrived for lunch today Oct 13, 2914 for lunch at 12:50 pm. Received menus but no further acknowledgement. No water. No drink order. No effort to even take our order. Others arrived after us & even received their food. It looked and smelled delicious. I tried three times to catch the eye of the only server but she would not make eye contact. We left hungry and frustrated. I don’t mind waiting 40 minutes for my food if I receive water & an effort is made to communicate, but this kind of shabby service is unacceptable. We won’t be back.
Worst Pho I’ve Ever Had. I’ve had good pho before, and this is not it. I got the meatball pho, and my husband got the chicken pho. I was expecting to love it, but the broth tasted just like a clove. No other flavors or spices. I was like a giant clove had punched me in the mouth. Don’t get me wrong, I like cloves, but they must be tempered with other flavors. The meatballs were the spongiest, most rubbery piece of meat I had ever had. Completely inedible. My husband’s pho was better, but barely. Appetizers were okay, but were served so scaldingly hot that we couldn’t even eat them until long after our pho arrived. Won’t go back again.
I thought the broth of the pho lacked depth and taste generic. I prefer Pho Tam on center and state st. in Orem. Much better broth and beef.
Limited options. We found the hours limited, and then when we did catch it when we were hungry and they were open, we found that they didn’t have any thing vegetarian. A noodle house. Without vegetarian options. Ok. They did offer to make their steak dish vegetarian, but unfortunately they would have to charge us full price. Full disclosure: we decided not to eat there after that, so I haven’t actually tasted their food.
Ive missed vietnamese food from my collage days and was excited to here there was something here in Orem! Ordered the BBQ pork rice bowl (w/ shrimp spring roll). Nice cuts of grilled pork (no gristle) and so tasty with the plum and chili sauces drizzled over it.
