Awesome sushi, and in Utah?! Great staff and they had gluten free soy, and handled our other gluten free requests.
Not impressed. Flavors just don’t add up to their prices. I’ve tried a good many menu items now, and all were just fair to pretty good. Their Sesame Chicken is the only dish I’d recommend avoiding altogether. It is a soggy mess and waste of $15. They also have a tendency to run out of tapas dishes, even on slow days. Their service is extremely hit and miss. We were entirely forgotten about by our server on our last visit. I have high expectations for any Main Street establishment, and Flying Sumo falls well short of that.
On the top of my list. This place is good and there isn’t much else to it. i’ve been with big parties, small parties, for an early dinner, or right smack in the middle of business time, and i always get the same great quality food. admittedly, i only ever order sushi, but it never, ever, ever disappoints. the rolls are absolutely delicious and the fish is always fresh. the staff is friendly, the feel is relaxed, and the location is perfect if you plan to spend some time on main street. flying sumo is easily one of my favorite places to eat, and it definitely tops the list whenever i want a sushi fix.
Sushi that will knock your pants off!. The Flying Sumo has some of the best sushi around. Their fish is fresh and their rolls are not prepared in the morning like some places. One of the best things they have are the nachos. They are to die for. It is a good atmosphere for groups or couples. The chefs are great and love a challenge. I have tried things that I thought I never would. Just tell them what you like and they will create some incredible rolls. On many occasions I have eaten until I am stuffed. The amazing thing is the food doesn’t get old even after a dozen rolls. I would recommend FS to anyone who wants to enjoy good sushi in PC.
Simply Delicious. My husband and I live an hour away from the Flying Sumo, but we take any opportunity we have to go up there and enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal. Their sushi rolls are one of the most tasty and classy sushi rolls we have ever eaten. But what we love the most about the Flying Sumo is the simplicity of how the food is prepared, whether from the sushi bar or the specialty dishes from the kitchen( which also taste delicious). We will always return to celebrate our special occasions there. I was not a fan of sushi until I ate at the Flying Sumo! Our kids didn’t like sushi, until they tried The Flying Sumo rolls. The sushi Chefs are creative and adapt to our taste, and I love that! Go try a roll today.
FS is now the only sushi I eat. It’s easy to tell when a restaurant cares about their craft, in this case, the art of sushi. The thing I love about the sushi at the Flying Sumo seems so simple…. the things that should be cold on my roll (ie, tuna, crab, cucumber) ARE cold, and the things that should be warm on my roll (ie, tempura shrimp) ARE warm! Yes, simple you say but no other places seem to be able to accomplish this simple task.I no longer eat sushi that has sat in a grocery store cooler for two days, it doesn’t seem like sushi compared to the Flying Sumo. Since first eating here years ago, I haven’t eaten anywhere that comes close to this sushi. Favorites: (my version of a mini-vacation on the beach)-Sunset roll-Fuji roll
Sushi in Park City. Some of the best sushi in the state. We often drive from SLC to Park City to eat at the Flying Sumo. You could say it is a religious experience for my wife and eat here. We try to save the Flying Sumo for special occasions. Great atmosphere and wonderful service.
