Probably the worse meal I’ve ever had. The steak was like a piece of charred show leather. The shrimp scampi was a plate of pale undercooked shrimp floating in what tasted like crisco shorting. Sent the whole mess back. I’ve never ever done that. Will never return. At those prices the food should be great.
Generally good food. Often odd wait staff. Everything has a stick of butter in it which makes it good. Hard to beat when using locals 2 for 1 coupon in park record.
Overall we liked it; but,not great.. Food was good but not spectacular. service was efficient, helpful and prompt. had wedge salad. nothing special. had steak frites, filet and utah red trout. portions were large. enjoyed the trout. steak was a bit overcooked. had a chocolate souffle for dessert that was very good. seems pricey for what you get. ate here while on a ski trip. ate out five evenings. this dinner probably ranked 3rd or 4th out of the 5.
Overpriced steaks so charred they could not be eaten. $40 fillets that must have been mustang – We bought 3 steak dinners and none were fit to eat.
We had a fantastic meal here. I ordered the Utah red trout and it was wonderfully done with giant asparagus spears and a heaping mound of mashed potatoes. Price range should be $25-35 rather than $15-25. I’d eat here again, for sure.
Don’t know why this has such low score(68), but the service and food were both excellent. The owner/chef used to be head chef at Riverhorse and he continues to work his magic in the kitchen here. The decor is urban chic and the menu interesting and varied. It’s at the lower end of Main St so a little harder to find, but well worth the effort!
