We are on vacation in Park City and Wahso was recommended by a local that used to work there. The service was great, our waiter was in training and did an excellent job. The food was AMAZING! We had the short ribs, cod, porcini crusted filet, and duck. We spent most of our dinner arguing over who had the best entree, it was a toss up between them all however the short ribs won. They were falling off of the bone! For dessert, we had the bananas foster…also delicious.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Park City, phenomenal food and service!
Words cannot explain my dissatisfaction with wahso. This restaurant doesn’t even deserve to be capitalized in my review. I rarely have any opinion on retaurant pricing. I understand food costs and restaurant overhead. But I do have expectations. These expectations come from past experiences in some of the best restaurants in the world. If I can pay for art in a 3 star michelin restaurant in a major metropolitan area what I pay for food court asian slop in park city there’s gonna be a problem. I had 3 dishes at wahso for 70 dollars that were literally not even on par with my take out food from last night. That is really sad. My biggest disappointment was the tofu dish on the menu. I always feel like if you choose something that can be as badly prepared as tofu can you better really step it up and transform it into something memorable. Not 4 over fried tofu triangles on top of 4 slices of eggplant on top of some non seasoned undercooked black rice. It was sad. The service was good which really was the only part on par with what claims to be a fine dining establishment. Its time places like this are held to the fire. If you are going to claim to be something special you better use some imagination or just have a 12-20 dollar menu. I would highly reccomend anyone interested in wahso spend the extra gas money amd drive to salt lake where they could have a very similiar meal off the kicthen menu at Takashi.
Amazing. Gorgeous decor, great service and fablous food
Give me a break. The food is overpriced. $55 ribeye was forgettable. Better duck @ good Chinese or French places. Octopus app a standout. Decor is like a Houston nightclub with some random Asian pieces mixed in. Soup was overcreamy (cauliflower/pear – couldnt really taste either – should’ve been subtle, chef blew it). service was acceptable but not worth 20% grat. One word: overrated.
One of the Best. I forget how much I love this place. It is by far one of the best restaraunts in Utah. I only eat there about twice a year since I’m not in Park City much but I fall in love again every time I go. This last time the chef made me a vegetarian dish that was not on the menu. So good! Tofu over black rice with a sauce that I couldn’t quite place but it was delicius. My goal is to figure out how he made that Tofu so yummy! They have a fun new menu too and special prices. Well worth the drive if you live in Salt Lake.
One of my favorite places!!. Everytime we eat here we have a great experience! The servers and hosts are engaging and while the portions at times seem small, we leave satisified. Beautiful presentation of food. Filet and seafood choices cooked to perfection and delicious!!! Also kid friendly and they do have kid selections (which I don’t think are printed on their menu however)… The best place we’ve eaten at in Park CIty.
