Not bad service, not the best food. I had their tacos today, Asada, sweet pork, and chicken. I also ordered an appetizer, it was queso. I ended up getting their sweet pork because they were out of pastor. It was way too sweet. The other two meats were just ok. I also got my appetizer at the very end and it was not good. It wasn’t even queso, it was just melted shredded cheese with a light sprinkle of meat and pool of oil. I didn’t even touch it. They were nice enough to give me a refund, which I appreciate.

RUDE. I don’t know how this place could even rate more than one star. Go to any other Mexican Restaurant in town and you will find better food. They are very rude and don’t care what you think. The fake smile can only go so far. This place has an attitude. They think they have it made with all the great reviews (which I don’t understand) that does not go well with those of us who think they still need to earn our business!

Friendliest place in Provo!. Gallo has great food, great prices, and the nicest people in Provo! I come for lunch with my colleagues at least once a week. They have daily specials and are happy to adjust orders based on our tastes and needs. It is a great place to relax during the lunch hour, enjoy chips and salsa, and drink refills, as well as fantastic food! I like the variety — but most of all the folks that work there are now our friends!

I love this place. I can’t quite put my finger on why i love this place but i do. There are so many mexican restaurants around. Just the flavor or the food. It is cooked properly and has great textures. good value for what you get too. This is my goto restaurant for mexican. It is always very busy too, so i must not be the only one 🙂

Rude management. Mexican origin owner/manager was caught overcharging bill and became agressive when asked to check bill. He told my friend he was not happy with bolivians nor peruvians or any South American customers when he was asked to check his mistake. He said South Americans were picky with the bill.

Don’t go for breakfast -the slowest service I’ve seen for a fast food establishment. 15 minutes

This is as good as it gets in Provo. I stopped by for a weekday dinner with my brother and his wife. We each ordered the daily special, $6.99, which consisted of a 3 chicken chalupa tacos, rice and beans, a drink, and desert. Prices are affordable. Service was fast and was somewhere between full service restaurant and cafe rio. Honestly if I have any gripe it is the service model: they bring your entree, chips, napkins, and plastic silverware but don’t refill drinks and you probably won’t see them much. I think if they at least made napkins readily available that would be an improvement (Mexican food can be messy!). We were in a hurry and actually forgot our desert but they caught us and gave us an ice cream with fried cinnamon sugar tortilla desert which my brother and his wife enjoyed. The food was excellent. The chalupa had the authentic potato hash and the tortilla was fried just perfectly. The chips were just average but the salsa bar was amazing. They have their own mango salsa which tasted fresh-made to me. They also had a plethora of other salsa options to choose from: roasted salsa, two green tomatillo salsas, and a couple red salsas too. There was a lot of salsa options and I honestly don’t think I listed them all because I was so enamored with the smooth green salsa and mango salsa that I didn’t care to even try the others. Rice and beans smothered with salsa was fantastic.I will definitely be back as soon as I get back to Provo. I also understand from my brother that their whole and half chickens are amazing and is a meal not soon forgotten.
