This is a disgrace. Let’s grab the biggest cheapest bag of pre-cooked frozen food, microwave it till it’s warm, grill it with hopes of eliminating freezer burn taste, slather it with everyday condiments with touches of herbs and spices, smother it onto a tortilla and have the guts to call it a burrito and you have made your own sweeto burrito.
Aptly named, Sweeto Burrito. If you are trying to avoid sugar, you will want to avoid Sweeto Burrito. I ordered the nachos, minus the cilantro ranch dressing as I hate cilantro, and it came on light and crispy, delicious tortilla chips. There was a creamy nacho sauce as well as a good dollop of sour cream. It could have been perfect, except it was loaded with cilantro loaded salsa. However, there was so much sugar in the salsa, it almost covered up the cilantro. After I removed as much of the salsa that I could, I tried the grilled chicken. Have you ever had candies chicken before? So, I removed the sweet chicken and had some chips with creamy sauce and sour cream. My husband got a grilled chicken burrito minus the cilantro ranch. Seeing that it came with onion rings, on the INSIDE of the burrito, he asked to have them o the side. They came on the side and seemed to be a full order of beautiful looking onion rings. His burrito was very small. I tried an onion ring, and, sure enough, it had a healthy portion of sugar in the batter! Neither one of us eat sugar so our taste buds very sensitive to it. Grandson got a sweet pork burrito which he really liked. Neither he nor my husband had enough to eat, and finished off the half of my nachos I couldn’t eat. It was very busy, always packed every time we drive by, so it seems we are among the minority. I hope they succeed as I hate to see new places fail. It wasn’t that the food was bad, it was just not to our liking.
Food was great but service was disappointing.. I was really excited to try the new Lindon brick and mortar location. When I arrived I was surprised to find the drive thru window closed. So I went inside and ordered take out. The cashier was very helpful and he recommended I order the smokehouse burrito. After waiting for my food for over 20 minutes I asked the cashier to check on my order. He assured me my food would be right out. The restaurant was not busy and I was confused as to why it was taking so long. The lady who ordered after me asked the cashier to check on her meal as well and it was discovered that both of our orders had been forgotten about. It was obvious the staff seemed more concerned with socializing and scoring free food than providing customer service. I noticed most of them pouring themselves smoothies and preparing their food to take home once their shift was over. I waited another 10 minutes before my food was abruptly handed to me without an apology or explanation. The food was great but I won’t be going back anytime soon.
I ordered at the Lindon brick and mortar location. The carne assassin is what I decided on, sigh. Half way down I finally hit a piece of steak and literally there were two other pieces of steak (small pieces). If I had wanted rice and beans as a meal thats what I would have ordered and felt okay about paying for… taste was good, but I feel ripped off 🙁
