Great Restaurant. Tucanos Brazilian Grill is probably one of my most favorite restaurants in the Provo area. They have a wide variety of meats, salads, and side dishes. Their staff is very welcoming. The one bad thing about this location is that it seems like it is always full. My favorite thing to get there is the Chicken Heart with the grilled pineapple on the side. It makes for a very tasty plate. Another one of their better meats is the turkey wrapped bacon, and to top it all down, the Brazilian Lemonade is divine. Tucanos has a little bit of everything Brazillion. Meats, pastas, and salads. There is usually on the weekends a two to three hour wait, but it seems to be ok as the food and service is so good once you get inside. It is a bit pricey with prices at $22.95 for an adult dinner, and $8.95 for a child dinner. So you may want to bring that special someone and have a dinner for two instead of bringing the whole family. It is well worth the wait in the end.
Everyone in one point in their life craves some type of food. For those in the Provo, Utah area there are many restaurants that must be visited. Most importantly, Tucanos Brazilian Grill. This restaurant is certainly one of a kind, and definitely worth the price. It may be pricey for large parties but for a sit-down restaurant with a couple friends, this is the place. What makes Tucanos special, is its a place where anyone can eat what their heart or stomach desires. Tucanos is an all-you-can eat restaurant, containing both a salad/pasta bar, and many kinds of meat. The salad/pasta bar is self-serving, but from previous visits to this restaurant the one thing that makes it so fun to visit is that the waiters come to each table with skewers full of luscious meat. The variety of the meat is amazing such as: shrimp, turkey, chicken and cod, prepared in the way you want it. In addition to grilled meats, the grilled vegetables and the famous pineapple are to die for, making your mouth water. Sounds a little good doesn’t it? Personally, you cant go wrong with Tucanos. With the great service, quality meals, and the environment of the restaurant, one may call this place heaven on earth.
Just not my thing, I guess. Tucanos is a mixed bag for me. I ate there a number of times when it first opened (years ago), and have tried it again three times over the past year (always on someone else’s dime). The Pros:–the salad bar has a wide variety of choices. Beans and rice, sushi, green salad, seven or eight pasta salads, fruit, breads, soups, etc.–the chicken and turkey were pretty tasty. The bacon-wrapped turkey was salty and juicy, and the chicken thighs were meaty and had a nice tangy-savory sauce.–wait staff were very friendly and hard working. The Cons:–the wait was quite long, even though we had a reservation. I realize it’s very difficult to time large parties’ comings and goings, but…–very noisy and crowded. The birthday songs got quite annoying.–the beef didn’t seem to be very high quality. I don’t mind that the beef isn’t rare – I actually quite like the more well-done Central and South American-style beef – but it just wasn’t very tasty and seems like lower quality than it used to be.–the endless grubby kid hands that snaked in to grab stuff off of the salad bar. I don’t want man-handled food.–the pasta salads were okay, but were very heavy. The beans were bland.–I just don’t like all-you-eat feeding frenzies. On the whole, I have to give this a thumbs down. Next time our party plans to blow $300 on a meal, I think we’ll have to come up with something else. Based on the crowds and lines, we won’t be missed.
The utah institution!. Tucano is an emblematic utah landmark at this point the food is great a meat fest similar to rodizio grill. I miss that there’s no longer authentic guarana (antartica).
SO good, SO true to Brazilian roots. I love Tucanos. It is my favorite restaurant! It is exactly what you would be getting at some of the best churrascarias in Brazil (which I have been to.) The price is definitely worth it!
Good meats. Tocanos: Brazilian Restaurant In the mood for a delicious meal worth the price, leaving you stuffed at the end? Tucanos: Brazilian Restaurant is the place to dine. The owner is the brother to the owner of Rodizio Grill. The food has a divine new taste after every few bites. Prepare yourself for about a 30 minute wait for a table. This well-known restaurant will have you entering and not wanting to leave. Starting you out with a buffet table, grab a plate, but dont fill up on that. When youre ready, flip the cylinder block they give you from red to green. An endless supply of all you can eat different meats. The meat ranges from simple meats like pork, to exotic meats you wouldn’t have thought to try, like chicken heart. For an all you can eat, the price is well worth it. A $20.00 dollar priced all you can eat buffet will keep you coming back for more. From the food, even to the drink menu fills you up will the right amount of deliciousness for a great deal.
Best Brazilian Grill. Beggining of this month I went to Tunacanos for the first time ever. The buffet was amazing.I love how they come to your tables and bring some of the buffet to you. They bring you chicken, meats, and grilled fruit. They had the most fantastic grilled pineapple I have ever had. It’s sweet and mouth watering. They had mini cheese ball bread. The top sirloin was the best type of meat I ate there. They also brought out some turkey wrapped in bacon. Besides the meats they also had seafood brought to us one of my favorties from seafood mustve been the Calamari that is octopus fried and came with a zesty carnaval sauce. Tucanos has a little bit of everything pastas salads, and the best part is the dessert I tried the dim de Leite a Brazilian Flan, richer and creamier than other original flans. It is pricy but all the food is worth it.
