Excellent Japanese AND Chinese food, plus amazing Sushi. I have had a LOT of contact with Japanese culture over the years, and love Japanese food. For example, I have been eating Sushi since the mid 1960s, when Sushi didn’t yet exist, as far as most people were concerned. On the other hand, my wife is a big Chinese Food fanatic, and if we go out somewhere, Chinese is always her first choice.So, we were incredibly happy to find out that J&C House (J & C means Japanese and Chinese) not only serves both Japanese and Chinese food, but does a really good job with both of them. There is nothing too unusual here, but what they do, they do very well. I generally order their Bento boxes, but other family members have other preferences. All of their food, including their sushi is well prepared and flavorful. It is rapidly becoming a favorite of people who live or work in the area, and members of my family routinely drive from other cities to come eat here.Give them a try, I highly recommend them. They are easy to find, just east of Bangerter Highway, on 126th South, across from the new Riverton Hospital.
Quality sushi. Finally a place that has more fish than rice, great food, great service. Talk to the staff, they are so nice. The hand rolls are amazing! Just try it!

Surprisingly good. On the corner with Bangerter Highway, just across the street from Riverton Hospital, several new restaurants have opened recently. One of them is J and C Sushi House, and it was a surprising delight. There is considerable difference between Japanese and Chinese food, and J and C strives to cover both, and does a surprisinly good job of it.We have tried Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki, Egg Foo Yung, Orange Chicken, Gyoza, Udon and numerous different sushi rolls, and have been happy with all of them. I have been eating at Japanese restaurants, and eating sushi since the 1970s at the late lamented Sunrise Restaurant on south Stste Street and i can honestly say, J and C is definitely one of the better Japanese and Chinese restaurants around. I have also brought family members here 3 times and all have returned at other times on their own. Give it a try.They are open for lunch and dinner
Best Japanese AND Chinese Food in Riverton. Finally! Some decent Asian ethnic food in the south end of the valley. Right off of Bangerter. Great selection, not overpriced like some similar restauarants nearby (at the District).Sushi is fantastic. Gyoza is light and crisp. Teriyaki sauce is delish. I highly recommend the tempura and Mongolian Beef. My husband ordered the Orange Chicken which was also incredibly good.Service is impeccable.
