My boyfriend and I book 3 Brothers for our September 1st wedding in April. We paid a $50 deposit without a contract. I was a little nervous about that but I had found another couple online who used them for their wedding so I figured they were legit. I had been in contact with Layo via text and calls and we confirmed just days before the wedding. Our wedding day came and there was no taco cart! I read the reviews here in April so I never did see the review the other guy wrote about his wife’s birthday. We too ended up having to go get pizza so that we could feed everyone. We kept trying to call Layo but it just went to voicemail. The next day we called Layo and he tells us that Monica owns the business and that he just sets things up for her since her english is bad. He said that he gave all the info to Monica and that she was the one who was supposed to come to the wedding, not him. He gave us her number and we call her and she blames him! We tell her that we want our money back and she says that we never paid and hangs up on us! We keep trying to call them back and they just ignore us! Stay far away from these guys if you’re looking for an event to be catered.

Warning.. For my wife’s 30th birthday, 3 Brothers was booked to cater the 50 person event last Saturday, $300, set-up/tear down. I wasn’t asked to pay a deposit. I called them 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive. Whomever answered the phone was at a festival and had no idea who I was. I booked with Layo. Apparently, Layo had to leave town due to a death in the family. Phone guy said he would call Layo, see where the miscommunication was and then call me back. They have yet to call me back, or attempt to rectify the situation. We ended up getting pizza, thanks Papa John’s! You were 1/2 the price. Though it was a bummer, I would suggest for those of you looking to book taco carts in the future, pay a deposit, confirm, or get some other collateral in order to feel like you have power in the situation. Chalk it up to experience. Sucks for you 3 Brothers, maybe you should downsize to 2.
