Like most people I have never tried Tibetan food before. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried the chicken fried noodles. The noodles were pan fried and blackened in places. Had a really good texture. Fun place to try if you want something different.
Neighborly. Tibetan food is not my favorite cuisine but the lunch buffet for $8.50 offers a variety of tastes so one is certain to find something which will appeal. Members of our group with more experience in that region were pleased with the momos and Tibetan tea. Appears vegetarian friendly. Simple but well kept up room and a very hospitable staff. Not sure this is worth coming a great distance for, but Avenues and East Central residents and workers should remember this place just slightly off the beaten track (just west of intersection of 4th Ave and E St).
Lunch Buffet <3. Been coming here for many years and always happy with the lunch buffet!! Hot, fresh and yummy!
Amazingly Amazing. This family run restaurant is spectacular ! The atmosphere is enjoyable and the food his highly addictive and delicious without the use of MSG! Servers are very kind. I love Cafe Shambala!!!Favorite Dishes are:Chicken Fingsha and Tofu fried noodle!!!!!
Quaint, Clean and Delicious. Best Tibetan in the valley. Try it for the lunch buffet, but don’t miss the opportunity for a quiet, secluded dinner without the inconvenience of downtown parking. Staff are friendly, top notch. Tibetan tea is awesome!
Delicious, and inexpensive. The staff is very friendly and the portions are generous. Lots of vegetarian options, too! Highly recommended!
As good as it gets. It’s truly fabulous. If you get take out or take home leftovers, the smell lingers in your car for a couple days, reminding you of the joy you experienced previously. It’s right next door to Hatch’s so you can get an ice cream after. It’s not all that busy, so getting a table isn’t hard. The food always tastes a little different, so you don’t get sick of it. The staff is very friendly. The highlights of the menu include veggie fried mo-mos and chicken chow mein, but everything we have had has been great, and we’ve had a lot!
