  I love that they offer scooped Farr’s ice cream (my all-time favorite). The soft serve isn’t too shabby either. I hope they stay in business in this location which is super convenient for my family when we visit the mall. The play doh and black licorice are my favorite flavors!

  Ice cream?. Offers no hard ice cream but rather soft serve and frozen custard / yogurt. Type of operation where one serves oneself from dispenser, adds toppings to taste, and pays by weight. Also has simple salads and sandwiches. Tried one of the two flavors of custard — white chocolate — and added nuts. I am a fan of hard ice cream but have had good frozen custard. I found this to be cold and smooth but not compelling. Was perhaps telling that at lunchtime on a hundred degree day when the adjacent City Creek Center Food Court was packed, few of the thousands of nearby workers were eating here. Perhaps families with small children are the intended demographic? Staff were quite helpful and cheery. Seems a really missed opportunity. This place is at base of Kirton McConkie Bldg — adjoining north entrance of Macy’s and across from greater Temple Square*, which would seem to be an inspired location for an ice cream shop. Ironically, it sits very close to where ZCMI’s Pink Pantry soda fountain was located, a place where you could get classics like malts and ice cream sodas.
