Bland. I had never tried this restaurant before and called to order take out. Quite polite on the phone, but apparently don’t use GPS during delivery since they got lost and called me to figure out where I lived, then was still roughly 20 mins later when my food arrived. Once I opened my food I was really disappointed. I ordered lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken. I received 2 boxes of the EXACT same chicken and sides of sauce, with no other additions. I expected the sweet and sour chicken to have veggies etc in it. But no, just got two boxes of the same bland chicken and sauces. I will not be trying this restaurant again.
The man taking my order was completely unreasonable, he has given me by far the worst service I’ve ever received in a restaurant. I’ve never been talked down to and made to feel so stupid even for the simpliest question. There is absolutely no substitutes, even for an added cost. Asking to substitute low mein for chow mein seemed as if I was asking to marry his 11 year old daughter. All in all for the mediocre food, (ham fried rice is just that – tiny pieces of ham, no veggies, no egg, no flavor) the service should be impeccable. Ive never felt so compelled to go out of my way, to make a profile… Just to let others know what a disservice you’ll be doing yourself to give them business. Thats how disgusted I was with the service. Although I can’t leave this completely negative, their quantity of food was a little extreme for not too horrible of price, which just makes me hope their food cost is high and they cant keep up with their overhead and they might run themselves out of business. And FYI use the restroom before you enter, because they don’t have one, even paying customers 🙂
Great little place. Pretty good basic Chinese. Its not high end but it is good and has a great price point. Portions for meals are large and I’ll order two dishes for my wife and I and two young kids and usually there are a little bit of leftovers.
Honest Review. I recently moved to Salt lake City from Hawaii in order to go to school and I have heard some rave reviews of this little Chinese take out place down the street from my apartment so I decided to go and give it a try. As with most restaurants in Utah I am not impressed, the food was sub par. I ordered the pork potstickers, egg drop soup, an egg roll and some sweet and sour chicken with fried rice.The pot stickers were grocery store bought and just dropped in the fryer (i watched them take them out of a bag they were safeway selects brand) The Egg drop soup I took a taste of and it was all right as far as egg drop soup goes but not particularly amazing. And the Sweet and sour chicken was stale it tasted like it was re fried and the fried rice has such a terrible texture I almost felt sick while eating it. On the plus side however the portion size is amazing and would make anyone happy and the price per quality of the food was not bad. The restaurant is relatively inexpensive and and there was alot of food even though the food was not really that good.And I have eaten at most of the Asian places in Salt lake city downtown and out laying areas and would rate this one pretty low.The best I have had so far in Salt Lake is a place called Canton Village 100 S 368 E, And the old guy who cooks there is un F’ing believably amazing but if the young guy is cooking and not the old guy it isnt worth going cause he cant cook for nothing.
This place is bomb. They have great prices and they have great quality food.
My very favorite place to get chinese. The food is great and the staff is helpful and friendly. They are always fast too.
Nice staff but the beef lo mein isn’t anything to write home about. The vegetables were practically raw, I still have raw onion breath 🙁
