  For some reason this store has a D in product availability. There are some spoiled turds in this town if they think this store doesn’t have everything. After living abroad for 14 months, I could have wept at the sheer number of maple syrup types. This place has everything and it looks like a showroom. It’s never been too busy and I’m there pretty much here every other day.P.S. Bring your own shopping bags, people. It’s 2015.

  Grocery with eat-in/take-out by Salt Palace /City Creek Center. This is a local supermarket chain whose new downtown location has several seating areas on a pleasant mezzanine and, in good weather, in a mini-park outdoors. Downstairs in the grocery section is a deli area with prepared foods, a salad / hot foods bar, pizza stand, and a respectable bakery. Daily inexpensive lunch specials like $2 Thursday pizza slice. Upstairs is a coffee and gelato stand and a sushi counter plus aforesaid areas with tables and lounge areas. Wifi. (And a post office substation).Open 6am -11 pm daily. Not a destination restaurant * but only two blocks from the Salt Palace Convention Center and connected by tunnel to City Creek Center (enter near Red Iguana in Food Court) and so very convenient for thrifty conventioneers or shoppers as well as its usual customer base of office workers. * this location actually does sit down dinners and wine tastings in their cooking school /demo kitchen but I have no personal knowledge of them. Reserve in advance.
