Love their dark hot chocolate on cold winter nights. During the summer I love their shakes, particularly the rocky road. Good service, fun atmosphere, divine chocolate.
Better than See’s, better than Godiva, better than Ghirardelli…. I could go on and on. These hand dipped chocolates are some of my all time favorites. You don’t like Hatch Family chocolates just because you watched Steve and Kate on TLC’s Little Chocolatiers. You like this chocolate because they are quality and have great flavor balance (richness to sweetness, texture is awesome). Ok, maybe you like them because you also love Steve and Kate, and love to support local businesses too.Their new location is sweet. Open long hours and with plenty of seating, you’ll always be able to satisfy your sweet tooth here. They are not cheap. But they are so worth it. My favorites are the almond coconut caramel, and the penoche, I like the peanut butter and sea salt too. I will preface, unlike my husband, I am a milk chocolate girl. But please don’t discount this review based on that. My husband will vouch for the dark chocolate, and he’s picky. Their thick European style hot chocolate is so tasty. Anything they put their magical whipped cream on is amazing (and typically I skip the whip). So try an ice cream sundae. The ice cream cones are fairly inexpensive, and they have a kid’s cone size for kids. They have new in-house-made ice cream options. The German chocolate is pretty intense. During the summer you have to try their limeade! I know I am forgetting something… So you should go in and figure out what it is. You’ll thank me later.
