Kinda felt like looking for some real authentic Mexican food and remembered a place I’d visited a couple of years ago called Sergio’s. The food was really tasty then so thought I’d try it again. When I got to the counter I learned that Sergio’s had closed.. It is now Taqueria el Trompo (don’t let the name fool you). Decided to stay. I’ll tell you, this food was not good, IT WAS GREAT!!! It’s not fancy. It IS authentic. It’s Not Expensive. Awesome fresh made salsa ( green, red, jalapeo and more). I had the Alambre which is kinda like a fajita, for $6. That’s less than half what anyone else charges. The menu selection is small at the moment but the owner (and cook) said they will be adding more items in the future. It’s humble location doesn’t give justice to what’s inside.

First off i love authentic Mexican having lived in Mexico for a long time. Really good tamale, enchilada, rice and beans. Tacos were good too but not the best I’ve had. Overall a really good place to eat some real Mexican.

Pretty good Mexican Food!. I have been to Sergios twice so far. The barbacoa res huaraches was really good. The beef was very flavorful and moist, definitely recommend it. The tacos were cheap and filling, although it was not my favorite pastor, carne asada or lengua. Go on a Tuesday and the tacos ore only 75 cents! I also got the daily special combo plate on another day, which came with a drink, sope of your choice, a tamale and a taco dorado of your choice. I took the tamale to go because there was so much food. I had the tamale for breakfast the next day and it was really good and filling. I got the sope with the cabeza and the cabeza did not have a stand out flavor at all. The rice and beans were pretty boring too. So far I would recommend the huaraches and a tamale.
